Anyone else find it a little odd that almost all the "legends" they signed on for the night were big stars before Raw premiered on TV? So it didn't even make much sense to have guys like Tito Santana or Dusty Rhodes on the program, as they didn't do much for Raw. When I think "old school Raw," I think Diesel, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, 1-2-3 Kid, those guys. Not Iron Sheik.
What made the show was how aesthetically pleasing it was. Every little bit from the first couple episodes of Raw, they nailed, from the show opening to the theme song to the arena. The concept was so vague, though. What were they aiming for? An '80s night? Early-90s night? Attitude Era night (Mark Henry going back to his old theme, everyone else staying the same)?

Then why the old Raw set?

It was supposed to be "Raw goes Old School" not an Old School Raw. Then why the old Raw set? That Raw set wasn't even used in the early years of Raw, not until at least late-1995 or 1996 from what I remember.

I thought Val Venis would of wrestled, along with William Regal, and Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry. Possibly even an Austin Appearence. Bret Hart even?

I knew Bret was in England so he wasn't going to be there. I believe Kamala now has a huge hatred for Vince so that's no surprise he wasn't there.
I did expect however, HBK, Marty Jannetty, Virgil, LOD Animal, Doink, and Stone Cold. Lita and Trish would have been cool also.
Enjoyed it a hell lot more than normal anyhow..
