I would like too point out one thing the reason why RSC has there sheamus so high is because if it was too low they would sell them all too scalpers quick and they'd make more money. RSC sells some figures at lower prices then retail. RSC also pays more for the figures too get them quicker. I will agree that it seems like a lot but they haven't had many 20+ basic figures in awhile.
Before everyone goes crazy I am sure his third figure will shelf warm. I mean at my local kmart there is 0-3 of everyone else of basic 6 accept mcintyre which there must be 6-7 of him. His figure before that was selling like crazy.

I don't have a problem with Ringside charging so much because what they say is true - scalpers will just buy the **** out of him, and leave RSC with no stock. And if that happens, why shouldn't they be the ones who make the money? Someone's going to bank on him, it might as well be the people who it was originally intended for. It sucks either way for the likes of us, agreed.
And as for Sheamus himself, just like Drew Mac, he'll have plenty of availability in the coming months. He has two identical figures one after the other, and then there's the Elite in early 2011. I'm sure a 2-pack is right around the corner, too - Mattel are up to early 2010 with their schedule, and Sheamus was red hot around that time. He'll be a shelfwarmer by summer.

Very simply he is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for him. I waited and watched amazon closely and got him for retail. I have no problem paying RSC a little extra at times to skip out on going all over town for something. Other times I just wait. Its relative to the collector. Truth is he isn't " worth" more than the 3 or so dollars it costs Mattel to make him or any other WWE figure.

It's because it's his first figure. Who remembers when Lesnar's first KOTR figure came out that was TTL style? It wasn't even r3 which was popular at the time and everyone knew an RA one was coming out but because the KOTR Lesnar was his first figure people went nuts for it.
I refuse to cave in and pay that price for Sheamus. I will just wait to find it in stores whether it's for $7.50 or for $9.99. I refuse to order it online unless I'm paying original price but shipping. I was gonna order it on WWEShop but only because it was $9.99 with 33% off plus free shipping. Oh well the hunt continues.
The people that cave in and pay that price for Sheamus thinking they aren't gonna find him are the reason the figure is as high as it is. Also as mentioned it's the holidays so it's a hot item. Every year during the holidays a figure comes out that is so popular and overpriced.

I'm so glad paying $24 back in August for the pre-order at Ringside ended up being a good idea.
