WWF WrestleMania IX: The Beverly Brothers are superior to the Nasty Boys, so alright start with the pre-show match. I liked how the WrestleMania theme and intro remained the same. Was not expecting Tatanka to take the WWF Intercontinental Championship, mind you, it was hard to see which way this one would go, being that Tatanka's undefeated. Wondering how you cap off Tatanka's reign now in my head, could imagine the best way would be via injury. Hope Shawn Michaels wants a rematch. I gotta wonder if you're planning to do a WWF UK Rampage show this year. Doink the Clown and Marty Jannetty interested me little. It's a massive decline for Jannetty, who one month ago was facing the man in the match before this, Shawn Michaels for the IC title. And now he's jobbing to a clown. Dire move, should have moved this match up a bit to stop an outrageous comparison. Yokozuna beating Jim Duggan was predictable as hell. Jerry Lawler's invitational was nice, liked Owen Hart filling the spot and winning. Owen's now 2-0 at WrestleMania. Match should have gone shorter for more effect, really. Money Inc retaining the WWF Tag Team Championships was the best decision. Although now it makes the Steiner Brothers' road to this match pointless. Did like the cheap finish though, means we're going to have a rematch down the line. Luna Vachon debuting for this match? Meh. Bam Bam Bigelow was more fearless without her, especially against The Undertaker. So so happy you had Bigelow win and cut off 'Taker's streak before it had a chance to get kicked off. The match may have gone too long for my liking. Randy Savage beating Razor Ramon was a nice match, should have used a stipulation i.e. Falls Count Anywhere though. That match interested me more than Lex Luger and Mr Perfect. And this is where the cluster starts. You have the four main events on the card back to back; there's nine matches on the show, you should have spaced them out and served the other matches as filler. Seriously. Bret Hart retaining the WWF Championship from Ric Flair was expected, lovely show of wrestling here though. A decent WrestleMania, easily better than the real show which transpired. But the star ratings are pointless since you don't do them on television, it's a little ridiculous. Also some filler segments and promos in between matches would have done the show wonders.
