All the music today is about love? You listening to the same radio crap that's on everywhere? Boyz II Men, R. Kelly, TLC, Mariah Carey, they sing about LOVE, this pop crap on the radio that's all "I wanna take you to the floor, YEAH YEAH YEAH" isn't love, that's called taking someone to the dance floor and dry ing the out of them.

too many people are arrogant, rude, selfish, unfriendly and uncaring. most people seem to have little to no moral standards and don't think of others.
i think generally people of recent past generations were noticeably better in those ways. probably because of the world wars, which made people appriciate others more and brought out the good in people.

Cell phones. I ing HATE cell phones. WINNER. My spoilt cousin who's like 12 is getting a £350 blackberry for christmas. I ask myself at that age does a phone really satisfy you? If so that's just plain sad.

-the lack of respect towards each other is a big one for me..People are getting out of hand nowadays...
-Young kids with cell phones...why?
-Lack of concern with people.. we're in the mindset "Let someone else take care of it"

This generation is definitely selfish, culturally ignorant, and all have minor ADD where trends last less than a week, if that.
My generation's (I'm a gen behind the current) biggest problem is we don't care about anything.

Time to rant! These are just general observations, nothing concrete on how all young people are or anything. It's harder to find things to LIKE about my generation and the one coming up. I will say that less discriminatory issues are a good thing. The problem is still there, but things are at least looking up. If only we could get teenage boys to stop going for shock value (i.e. YOU GAY FGT and N****R!!!), we'd be gravy. But that's what anonymity does to people. The internet is a double-edged sword with things, because it exposes people to a lot of bad stuff, but it's very useful. I think because we young people are so technologically sound that we have the potential to be smarter, and to understand and find things previously unattainable. Maybe it will help curb out all the ignorance someday? Hopefully the positives will outweigh the negatives in the future. But now, onto the unfavorable stuff. I really, really don't like how self-discipline is almost an old value now. The concept of "building character" instead of looking for a quick fix sidestep to a solution, is fading out. I expect this to be a major cultural issue sometime soon. This is probably one of my main concerns. This gen HATES to be criticized. The term "hater" is thrown around any time someone brings up a valid criticism about something. Trolling isn't criticism, so that's not what I'm referring to. I'm talking about someone questioning another person's choices in a respectful manner. Music is really bad in the mainstream, but this is nothing new. At least there's still a ton of great bands/musicians out there, some of which are actually breaking through to larger audiences. I think the generic sounding, half-hearted bands/artists that say absolutely nothing interesting, sticking with easy subject matter, inspire a generation of kids to aspire for mediocrity, though. And that's a problem. Young girls are getting eaten alive by the decadent side of our society. Men keep telling them that they aren't skinny enough, they aren't pretty enough, and this keeps getting reinforced by dickbags on online forums who call every girl who isn't a 9 or 10 "ugly". The lack of self-discipline I mentioned above relates to their sex life in a big way. Girls wanna go around having hook-ups now that they're socially acceptable for some reason, but at the same time, they don't wanna be known as easy or slutty. No, they wanna have their cake and eat it too. They wanna give into every feeling they have because now, it's okay to do so. They spin it as if they're just being modern, they're sexually liberated, they just want to have fun, etc. And then they wonder why they're so unhappy when they're alone. As if a devalued sense of self-worth and dignity is something to take lightly. Do they learn from this? Of course not, they hang around enablers that tell them everything they do is okay, because as I mentioned before, people hate taking criticism now. Time for mandatory psychological exams in school. Or, likewise, parents doing their ing jobs and dad being involved in his daughters life. I'm noticing a lot of issues stemming from the latter part. Entitlement issues? A.D.D. and xenophobia? Piss poor role models? Rude, selfish, inconsiderate behavior? Image obsession? I don't need to have a heart attack at age 23, so I'll just stop right there. Some of this stuff is just kid **** - meaning, they'll mostly grow out of it to some extent. But some of it isn't. Some of it is going to creep into their adult life, and that's when it becomes a problem manifested in all corners of society. I'd rather we nip this in the bud before then, though. All we as individuals can do is lead by example. It's up to parents themselves, and it's up to huge corporations/marketing groups to stop devaluing our culture for the sake of profitability. In other words, we need a miracle.

I don't really hate anything, but I find it disappointing that most kids these days can't spell the simplest words. I am friends with a few 15 to 18 year olds on Facebook and none of them can spell, and have no sense of punctuation.

I feel like everyone else has already covered why I hate this generation that I live in.
-God awful music...(Kesha, GaGa, etc.) -Horrid TV. (Jersey Shore, Teen Mom...Basically any show with people who act like morons, so kids can model their life after what they see.....So pretty much everything on MTV.) -Just dumb kids....Education only getting to a certain point and are just so ignorant and disrespectful. Don't care for themselves and anyone else around them.
It just seems like you have to be a intellectually- disabled ass-hole or a dumb skank still in her teen years with several kids to get some attention around here. And it's so sad that when you look at this generation...that the lowest common denominator is winning.
