Okay so here's the deal. My family resides outside of Charlotte but I go to school in Wilmington which all the way on the other side of North Carolina. I was on winter break from mid December until today when classes began. And of course ROH is in Charlotte mere days after I leave. The four hour drive for me turned into about 6 1/2 due to a snow storm and I really, really hate making the trip when I don't have to. But my last class this friday ends at 10:50 so if I leave shortly after that I can be in Charlotte a few hours later for:
ROH World Title Match Roderick Strong defends vs. Jay Briscoe
World TV Title Match Christopher Daniels defends vs. Claudio Castagnoli with Shane Hagadorn
Grudge Match Davey Richards vs. Chris Hero with Shane Hagadorn
Four Corner Survival Homicide vs. El Generico vs. Mark Briscoe vs. Kenny King
Special Challenge Match Colt Cabana vs. Grizzly Redwood
Tag Team Rematch Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly vs. The Bravado Brothers
Singles Action Rhett Titus vs. Caprice Coleman
Also scheduled to appear: - Steve Corino - “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett
So basically I really, really want to see this but my enthusiasm to make that drive is shot. Sell me on how amazing ROH live is and how I'd be a fool to miss out like I did when I forgot about the Big Bang PPV.

I've been to a number of wrestling events, including WWE PPVs and televised events and an ECW reunion show, but to this day the one RoH show that I've gotten to go to was the best I've ever been to.
So much fun and I remember just being so pumped afterward because of how great it was, something I've never really felt after an event. You have a solid card there too, Davey vs Hero should be awesome (Davey stole the show at the event I went to).

No wrestling show is worth a four drive.

No wrestling show is worth a four drive. So untrue. I've driven four hours for Wrestlemania, I've flown to Chicago for Wrestlemania, I've driven 14 hours for a concert before and drove back that night. Of course, I've been with friends both times, but really, if you enjoy it well enough, four hours is nothing. All of those and the many other shows, wrestling and music related, I've driven to, have been totally worth it. You only live once, Jimmy. I've never seen ROH live but four hour drives, while a pain in the ass, especially when you have to do it again, are manageable. Just load up on music before you go. Driving is also a great time for pensiveness and reflection.

Driving is also a great time for pensiveness and reflection. It also depends on your feelings on travel. I love traveling, so going this far for a show would be nothing for me. I've rarely ever done it for a wrestling show, but I do it for concerts from time to time and it's a lot of fun, especially if you have good traveling partners. I'm only about 2 hours from this show, but sadly this has been an awful week that has sapped all of my money and I'm not going to be able to make the trip... I'm still trying to figure out a plan for seeing Forbidden Planet and Thing from Another world in a theatre. I really don't want to miss everything.

I wouldnt do it. Outside of that match, the only other one that seems like it could be awesome is Daniels/Claudio.

No wrestling show is worth a four drive. Couldn't disagree more. My friend and I drove 8 hours to LA for the ROH/PWG Wrestlereunion weekend last year and we're both in agreement that it was easily the most fun wrestling-related experience either of us has ever been a part of, and we've both been to Raws, Smackdowns, and Wrestlemania. If it's really not much of a hassle for you, definitely go for it, Jim.

Do it, man. I'd kill to be in the area to go to these shows, unfortunately, I live on the terrible West Coast.

No wrestling show is worth a four drive. Since I'm driving 15 hours for Wrestlemania, I'd have to disagree.

A WWE or TNA show is not worth the drive. ROH & DGUSA are worth the drive. I say do it. I'm driving 9 hours for 9th Anniversary in Chicago.

Go for it. That show sounds amazing. When else will you have the opportunity to see a card like that again?

Mania is the exception. It is worth it. Plus the ROH & DGUSA shows the 2 days before.

I say go for it, and have a blast.
I know it's a little far off, but you think you're going to make the journey to Burlington for the DGUSA show in April, and the CHIKARA shows in May?

Do it man. It should be an awesome show. If its the match of the year, and you go, itll be worth it. If not, something else about the show could be great. ROH has some of the best talent.

I just found out about these earlier... I'll be in Atlanta on April 1 (watching ROH, actually), but I am totally going to the Chikara show. I'm so very excited that they're coming reasonably close. Man, my first ROH show, first Mania, and first Chikara show in the span of less than two months will be awesome If I can make the second DGUSA Atlanta show, that will be gravy.
