Cena has probably 10-15 more years to give in the WWE, and he has 9 World Title reigns, and for a good 5years to come he will be the top face of the company, I think it's almost definite that Cena will finish with around 20X World Champion, sadly.

More than likely. If Flair never went to TNA, nobody probably would be given the push for the 17+ title reigns. Hell, I've always seen Triple H as somebody who could do it even when Flair was there.

I'd hope he'd have enough respect for Ric Flair to not do it.

Title records aren't relevant these days, which is a shame.

I hope so. Because flair just spit in the face of alot of people. He got one of the best send off's,yet he still wanted the spot light. I hate the guy,ive lost a ton of respect for him. Triple H or Cena i hope will surpass that,Hopefully triple h but more then likely cena.

It wasn't a spit in the face, it was a "I NEED MONEY DESPERATELY" He's only wrestling his post-retirement career as far as I'm concerned. Foley did it. I don't think Cena will surpass Flair's record though.

I don't really know. I mean yeah he's on top now but whose to say in 5 years he won't take a backseat and help other guys kind of like HBK did or even Jericho? You never know in the wrestling business.

So what your saying is it's more important to hold a 'fake' retirement than have money to pay for food, shelter and clothes? I'd never lose respect for him after coming out of retirement because of what he's done for wrestling. Gyan #33 was right in saying that titles don't mean anything, giving Cena 10 championships is like crapping on head of every legend in the company.

Sadly, I won't be surprised to see multiple guys break Flair's record. Cena will most likely do it(his 3 minute reign at Elimination Chamber last year is a joke). Hunter could still do it(he has the backstage pull to do it). Orton is younger than Cena and still has alot of years left. I'm willing to bet that Vince has him do it as well. As for a long shot, Edge has had so many short reigns that it's a joke whenever he calls himself a 10x world champ(I remember when it actually meant something in 2005 when Triple H was mentioned as a 10x world champion). I know he plans on retiring soon, but it's always possible he gets a few more short reigns.

Title records aren't relevant these days, which is a shame. completely true.if he had 50 reigns it wouldnt mean as much as Flairs first 10 to be quite honest

I'm not sure if I can see Cena lasting 10-15 more years. Eventually this schedule he's been running for five years straight is going to catch up to him.
But I can see him surpassing the record, sure.
