These errors are fetching very high prices compared to what they used to go for. If people are happy to pay it though then that's fine. I personally wouldn't go above £200 for an item like this but everyone has there different scale of what these things are worth. It's probably why I never win these big items

I remember when an error like this used to go for $10-15 max not that long ago. I hope the poster wasn't buying this piece as an investment...

When I started picking up errors 3 or 4 years back I was getting them for £90 - £100. However there is a wider market (IMO) for hasbro collecting so the prices will go up.
Collecting is my hobby and I want to have the best collection in the world, so it will come at a price. And i'd pretty much do anything if I wanted a rare figure. I do think £380+ for a error is madness but what else do I have to waste my money on. Nothing, so I stick to what I love.
Totally understand what your saying and were your coming from. Its just a hobby I love.

I personally think it went higher because of the wrestlers "involved" in the error. Would a greg valentine on a brutus #1 card back have (a) gone for even half as much as the final price (b) created such a buzz when it was first seen and then become a topic of a thread within minutes of it ending - I don't think it would have.
The card is in spotless condition, it's an error that hasn't been seen before and it involves 2 of the greatest wrestlers of the era. IMHO I think it went for a fair price and if Kev listed it in the future (which he won't be) I'd put money on him making a p rofit

I am in the hasbro business since 2000 and i Never seen an error card sold for 10usd. In my opinion 600 usd is a fair price for this kind of error...probably 1 of a kind! I think kev wont lose a pound if he will try to sell it in future and I can assure you if i wouldnt have to spend some extra cash to finish my new house the final price would have been even higher than 600usd! 2/3 people really involved in this kind of items can make the differents in the entire hasbro market!

That's all it takes- 2 people wanting the same thing....I care to disagree with the whole resale value being greater but you never know...... As long as Kev is happy then that's all that matters and he's lucky enough to have a piece that few have (if anyone? who knows)..

Congratulations Kev - a truly great peice!
You are the man 'in form' in Hasbro collecting right now. It's great to see, keep it going.
It gives all us hasbro freaks something else to search for now we no it exists.

I've seen Error Hasbros go for $10-$20 a fair few times back in the days of Auction Universe (before ebay took them over/bought them out in the 90's) I remember seeing Mailaway Hogans for $20-$25 a pop then too. So how many of you remember Auction Universe then ? Show of hands.. ps: I'm 28 years old - just in case ya all thought I were in my 50's LOL.

Between 1990-1994 the average price for a wrestling figure was £3.99 now the average is £20. So what. things change.
Is it wrong to be paying £45 for a 123kid MOC. the choice is yours I say

It will add upto £20 each. £45 is cheap I agree.
