I was so excited a year ago for Mattel's Legends line, the first 4 waves were great. I missed out on buying the jakks classic figures so I was really pumped to be getting new figures of the Iron Sheik, demolition, George the animal Steele etc. but after today's reveals I feel a little let down. First they cancel the ring with Andre, No stores around me have anything past series 2 and no word on any further 2 packs. What gives is this line running out of steam already?

How could you not be impressed? These are highly anticipated figures & true legendary staples most of us have wanted apart of our collection.

I know there arent as many legends shown....but the main line is the current line. I'm glad that we got such quality legends coming out.

For all we know there's more. Remember last year someone mistakenly showed the Dragon early in the event. They wanted to hold it for another day.

Sound more like an issue with you're stores than with Mattel.
My Wal-Marts are still packed with Iron Shiek, Rick Rude, and Dusty Rhodes. I'm yet to even see Legends 3 apart from Bulldog.
And I don't quite see how it's running out of steam when they just dropped some of the best figs they've done yet, in Eddie Guererro, The Von Erichs, including an extra Texas Tornado version of Kerry, new Warrior with WWF Title, and and 80s Macho Man.
Not to mention the Defining Moments line with the WWF era Steamboat, and the Attitude Era HHH, Taker, and Stone Cold.

They could have only displayed that Warrior and nothing more and I'd be content. Granted, I'm not a Legends collector really (Not much pre-90's anyway), but WM6 Warrior has been my biggest Legends want in the line. The fact that it has a GREAT headsculpt, looks overall fantastic, and is supposedly coming out soon makes me one happy collector. The lack of 2-Packs is disappointing (I really liked the look of the Rockers) but their future seems uncertain given the cut back on regular Legends already.
You've also got to consider that these showings are only supposed to last us until SDCC. It's not crazy to think we'll only get 2-3 lines before then.

I'm curious what exactly we're looking at here. The positioning would suggest that this is Series 6, but three things stick out: 1) Legends are now 4 per set, and there's 5 shown 2) The Von Erich 2-pack was already shown at SDCC last year and finally 3) Two of those guys are Kerry Von Erich in quite different attires with different accessories, not a simple color swap like Ted Jr (suggesting it was a variant).
I imagine that 3 new ones shown are for Series 6 and there's 1 surprise their saving for SDCC. I wonder where The Rockers are, though?

I was really hoping for a masked debut Kane and Andre. Warrior is awesome. Don't care about the rest.

Sure, they didn't show much in the way of Legends but what they did show looked great. I have to imagine that they are holding back for another day or maybe even SDCC. There is no reason for them to show everything right now. Just enough to wet our appetites.

I'm let down. They only showed 3 new figures. Hopefully like PJ said we see more.

Part of me is excited but part of me wanted more to be shown. Apart from Legends 4 we only saw like 5 other figures. Maybe they will tell some in the Q & A.

So Series 6 would be Warrior, Tornado & Eddie so far so there should be one more for Series 6 unless I am missing someone.

I really LOVED the new warrior figure, the von erichs are old news and so is series 5. It would be great if they had some other figures up their sleeve that we can see tomorrow, maybe some 2 packs.

It's all about demand I suppose the younger fans probably look at Rick Rude and say who the hell is that? In comparison to the more current stars like John Cena, that's the sad part of today's make-up of fans. Because since the WWE moved away from the TV-14 Era are now watching UFC, Paul Heyman has said that before still the hardcore fans here and will buy the legends like I do. Since they (and I) love the history of the WWE. I like what Mattel is doing in reducing the size of the sereis, since that means more money can be saved in producing the likes of Bret Hart and Andre. Still no word if Andre who was suppose to be produced with Legends ESR will be by itself. Perhaps that will come out this year. Also I like the idea from a poster here to make Legends only online, so that Mattel could really do wonders for the more hardcore fans. I WANT A GORGEOUS GEORGE FIGURE BY THE WAY!
