God, every time we get within like 4 points the Pacers start knocking down every shot and pull away again... Terrible

Bulls will barely escape but they have a LOT of sh*t to fix. Hansborough was DESTROYING them in the second half.

Bulls offense lead by Rose is bad. The guy is a freak athletically and has amazing control, but the give it to Rose plan of attack is gonna cost them some games in playoffs. They have enough pure talent to past the measly Pacers, but after that, you gotta be concerned if you're the Bulls.

Pacers put up a good fight, I could see this series going 7.

Offensively the Bulls do resemble the Cavs when they had LeBron.
Games like this make you wonder if they could get past Miami or Boston. But then again, the Pacers were on fire from downtown and then didn't take another 3 in like the last 7 minutes.
That just screams streaky play especially because Chicago's known for defense.

I'm now predicting a sweep for this series. I thought that if the Pacers had won game one, they might be able to stun Chicago enough to pick up a second win and only have to win two more to Chicago's 4. However, they just weren't able to pick up the win and I can't imagine them having much momentum going into game two now.

Nothing like making predictions after Game 1 Aside from the Knicks/Celtics, I dont see any higher seed having any issues with the lower seeds in the East. The West on the other hand.....

I'm not concerned about the Bulls' play and chances to go far in the playoffs. Flukes happen and Thibs is gonna have the team look at the film from this game and the Bulls will be ready to go game 2. I didn't catch the 2nd half of the game except for the final minute, so I missed the comeback. Bulls were a little slow at the start. Like STAT City said, the Bulls will toughen up on D and hopefully find an answer for Hansbrough. No way the series goes to 7. I still think Bulls in 5 with the Pacers winning a game in Indy.

Yeah it definitely wasn't the prettiest of victories for Chicago, but I am not concerned at all. This team still has a very good shot at winning it all

Hawks have been slumping going into the postseason but for some reason I can't really pinpoint I feel they could win 2 games, maybe even 3.
They do have experience and bigs.
I'm most looking forward to the Mavs/Blazers later. Blazers are my favorite Western team to watch now that Utah is a glorified D-League team.
A lot of people think the Knicks could upset the Celtics. Obviously I'd love it. But I think they're too inexperienced and don't have enough consistency to do it unless the Celtics are playing really bad. In other words I think it would be due to the Celtics poor play more so than the Knicks playing at their best.
The Knicks at their best shouldn't be able to beat the Celtics.

In my heart of hearts, I am hoping the Celtics turn it on like last year or like before February and displace the Knicks in 4,5,6 games with ease.
Then again, if they cant, and the Celtics from the past 2 months show up, the Knicks can most definitely steal this series and or push the Celtics to 7
As crazy or as homerific as it sounds, this series will be the toughest for the Celtics out of any potential match ups yet to come because this is the series that will show which team will be in the playoffs.

I really don't see the Celts have too much of a problem against the Knicks. The paper soft D is exactly what Boston needs to rejuvenate themselves.

It's too bad Philly couldn't pull off the upset. I would have loved to see the panic in Miami

Had a feeling the Hawks would match up well with that Magic team.

What an awful game. Poorly played, poorly coached, poorly reffed. Ugly.
The first half especially, every concern I had about this Blazer team was unfolding before my eyes. Getting killed on the boards, left Dallas open for 3's(8 in first half all open), key players went missing(Matthews, Wallace), Portland didn't go inside and opted for clunky jumpers.
Then in second half the Blazers came out with more intensity, forced some turnovers, got out in transition and was in complete control of the game.
Then.....whistle, whistle, whistle....
Points in the paint: Portland 48, Dallas 18. Free Throws: Portland 13 (all game), Dirk 13 (in the 4th quarter). 19-2 disparity in the 4th. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Usually the more aggressive team(ie Portland) gets the calls, but not here. Little touch fouls many of them beyond questionable and on the opposite side I saw LaMarcus got hacked BAD a couple of time...nothing. Wallace grabbed a rebound and was thrown to the floor - nothing. Hand on Dirk's back? - That's a foul.
I hate bitching about refs and fouls, but this was flagrantly bad. It took them out of the game.

yea I can't say I disagree with ya but look at it this way...
there's no way Kidd hits that many 3's again and like you said it was the 4th quarter calls that defined the tempo.
