Has there ever been a scenerio where, after seeing a movie in the theater, you immediately count the days to its DVD release? Or, pre-order the film as soon as it's listed? Happened to me four times...

No...I just go see it again...I guess it's just one of the benefits of owning a home theater.

When I was a kid, there were a lot of movies I anxiously awaited to be released on DVD VHS after seeing them in theaters. All the Batman movies, just about all the animated Disney movies from the 90s as well as a few others. I didn't really pre order any of them but I bought them the second they were released on DVD VHS. I don't really feel that way anymore.

A Nightmare On Elm Street - the 2010 remake. And granted it wasn't the theaters, but Scream-motherf*cking-4!!!! I will be buying that the day it releases on Blu-ray.

No I don't really think about buying a dvd but I will rent it from my library if I liked it a lot.
Movies like Inception, The King's Speech, Black Swan, The Fighter, etc are movies I saw in theaters but I still ended up checking out from my library to watch again and to see the special features.

The most recent one was Black Swan. I was interested in that movie for a long time and saw it at the theater when it was still limited engagement. After the movie ended I thought "I'm SO getting this on Blu-ray!" And I did! I bought the Target exclusive on day one!

The Dark Knight. I went to the midnight showing, took off the Friday it came out and saw it twice, and then 4 other times that weekend with friends/family. Saw it a total of 12 times, 4 of which were on IMAX, and bought the Blu Ray at midnight at a local Blockbuster.
Will probably do the same for The Dark Knight Rises.

Not really. I guess if any time, it was with Toy Story 3.

Only one I can say is Watchmen. Went out and got it the first day it came out. Also got Tales of the Black Freighter.

That happens a lot. Most recently with the film Take Me Home Tonight. I saw it at a screening around 7pm and enjoyed it so much that I saw the midnight release later that night. Over the next few weeks I took all of my friends to see it several times and I have been checking the internet daily waiting for its announcement.
