I never liked the way Flair was released either.. The Martel style body would have been the far better option. Same goes for Rick Rude.. that style of figure was pretty dumb. Rude could have been better as a Macho King or maybe Sid Lex Luger body. And I think the Brain Busters were around before Hasbro figs came out, but they would have been cool.

The Anvil and Owen Hart figures were timed strangely in my opinion. Anvil was in the first release of the 1993 figures and Owen in the final release, both in New Foundation attire. They were both featured on the "Undertake 'em all" ad so it's not like they were never timed to be made around the same time. I think they should have been released together, if not in a team set then separate like Steiners, Gunns, Shrinkers, Bushwhackers. If not in the same series then make Anvil in the Hart attired, preferably in 1992 and make Owen in High Energy outfit, with blue pants and suspenders and put a Koko figured in the same set. Or Owen as a single since he did wear that outfit as a single. If Anvil had been released in 1992 then maybe a Ted Dibiase could have been made for IRS as a tag partner.

Totally agree.. the release of the Anvil and Owen were extremely weird. I would have liked to see a DiBiase released as a tag team with IRS.. perhaps in his white tuxedo outfit.

As a few including me have mentioned above, DINO BRAVO is a guy that I always thought should have had a figure made of him.. he was around through mid- 1991 in the WWF so he had a few chances to have one made of him. In the latter part of 1990 he was actually at the top of the card feuding with Hogan and Warrior as Earthquake's partner. He's a tough guy to make a custom of, but if he had a figure made, I think it would look something like this:

Dino was a big omission from both LJN and Hasbro. He could've been added in the 1988 series as a single or even a tag team with re-released Valentine. He certainly should've been added in the 1989 series as he had been around longer than Warrior, Bossman, Warlord, Rude and Haku with King gimmick and Andre as a heel. But maybe he would've been a figure unreleased even if planned.
He should've been released in Hasbro but may miss the cut off. The 1990 series seemed to feature the most prominent wrestlers in the federation. Dino was around a long while and had a good place on the card but not with the likes of Demoltion, Hogan and the others.
He could've been released as a single in the 1991 series or maybe even with Earthquake as a team. By 1992 his time was over and Earthquake moving on with Typhoon probably ended all chance for Bravo.
Certainly Bravo would've been a better choice than some releases and he was around many years to deserve a figure but unfortunately it didn't happen. That custom is great!

no Bravo figure has been made. He had a few styles to choose from too with a classic figure, hasbro or ljn. He had red canadian flag trunks with the dream team, black trunks and light green trunks for singles and the light blue trunks for singles or tag team.

I can't believe no Dino figure was made for any line of figures.. he was around so long.

Going by what Hasbro already made or planned here is what I think should've been released past the prototype stage: Greg Valentine of Rythm and Blues. Maybe the team was broken up by time the tag teams would've been released or maybe only the singles version of Honkytonk was planned and it was too late to change the magazine photo but Hasbro released wrestlers well after they were gone like Giant Gonzalez, Hacksaw #2 or Warlord so Greg Valentine should've been made to buy.
Keep Tugboat, as he was planned by sketch, in the 1992 series, make Dino Bravo to go along with Eartquake and then in 1993 make Earthquake in the black outfit and Typhoon as is.
Change Macho Man which was basically a re-release with "Macho Man" on his tights to a version similar to the 1993 version, then in 1993 a new figure could be released in his place. Macho King hadn't worn his purple outfit for over a year before the #2 1991 toy was released and certainly over two years by time the #3 toy came out. It was a wasted space.
Have Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart of the Hart Foundation, as was planned by sketch. Keep Anvil in the 1993 series or replace with someone never made like Barbarian or Haku. Yes, both were gone about a year before 1993 but so were Warlord and Anvil. Hart can be replaced on the singles card with another wrestler.
Take out the Bushwhackers in tan outfits and replace them with purple Razor and Shawn in black pants. They were released anyway so just take out Luke and Butch and put Razor and Shawn drawings on the back of the cards. I would've liked to see Bushwhackers in re-paints even with the same pants but with grey tops. That would've been nice rather than versions of outfits they never wore.
Beefcake in Mega Maniacs outfit should've been made for purchase. He had been gone a long time but so was Hacksaw. Maybe with Hogan going to WCW that was the reason he wasn't released. It would've been a better choice than a Tatanka rerelease. If no Beefcake then at least make a figure of someone not released.

Those are some good customs man, I always wanted Savage in pants and shirt without the hat and jacket. The ones I really wanted as a kid though were:
Earlier sets: Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Dino Bravo, Power & Glory, Barbarian, heel Jake Roberts, Max Moon, Orient Express, The Mountie (w/o entrance gear),
Later sets: Jeff Jarrett, heel Owen Hart, Bob Backlund, Diesel, face Razor Ramon, Jerry Lawler, Undertaker (w/tats), U.S.A. Lex Luger, Bulldog (shorts), Hakushi, Heavenly Bodies, King Kong Bundy, Kama, Skip
Women: Alundra Blaze, Bertha Faye, Bull Nakano, Sunny
Managers, etc.: Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Paul Bearer, Jim Cornette, Harvey Wippleman, Gorilla Monsoon, Vince McMahon, Jesse Ventura, Sennsational Sherri, Virgil (bodyguard attire)
Special Editions: Lawrence Taylor/Bam Bam WM11, and maybe some Wrestle Mania 2 packs in their Mania gear like Savage/Warrior/Sherri WM7, Hogan/Slaughter/Adnan WM7, Savage/Flair/Liz WM8, Hogan/Beefcake WM9, etc.
