Squared Circle Wrestling came about when three childhood friends decided to follow their dream to run a wrestling company. However, this company wasnÂ’t going to be the type you would see on television. 2CW will have storylines but will not consist of embarrassing angles that do not even involve wrestling at all. The three wrestlers were JD Love, Isys Ephex and Zaquary Springate III. All three men were big fans of the territory days of wrestling and decided that 2CW would be something of that affect.
Monthly programming will be taking place on SaturdayÂ’s, but will not be televised. Instead, those will be coming out on DVD.
Squared Circle Wrestling has a good mix of wrestlers, mainly from the NWA Upstate promotion. 2CW has a working agreement with NWA Upstate to use their talent and vice versa. 2CW also has former ECW/WWE wrestler Spike Dudley on their roster to give them some name power for their promotion. Here is a introduction to the 2CW roster with a description of their personality.
Brodie Lee: Brodie is a big man who is easy going until you piss him off. Lee is very popular in the Upstate NY area and fans were very pleased to have him be apart of the 2CW roster. LeeÂ’s finisher is a running yakuza kick and a spinning side slam.
Cheech and Cloudy: Also known as Up In Smoke are a talented tag team. They will do whatever they feel like doing and arenÂ’t afraid to insult the fans.
Colin Olsen: Colin believes that the fans should bow down to him because he has made it to the big times. Even though he has only competed in dark matches or jobber matches he is delirious to the fact that he isnÂ’t a superstar. Colin doesnÂ’t believe anyone in 2CW is in his league.
Dizzie: A simple ass kicking thug who isnÂ’t going to allow wrestlers to put down his family (the fans) or himself. A popular wrestler in 2CW.
Eddie Edwards: A very talented young wrestler who has been steadily making a name for himself on the independent scene. Fans respect Edwards for his risk taking and his ability to actually wrestle.
Frankie Arion: The typical underdog who never gives up no matter what. Arion may be small, but he always takes it to his opponents and is never a easy guy to defeat.
Isys Ephex: Ephex has been coined “2CW’s People’s Champion” by the fans. Fans adore this man for his confident attitude, but also because he respects the fans for respecting him. 2CW is a new company but he appears to be the guy the fans want to cheer on.
Jason Axe: Axe is very new to the business and hasn’t achieved anything. However, he calls himself “The Main Event” Jason Axe. Axe believes that he has the ability to be the main event star for 2CW. He isn’t going to be satisfied until he gets that spot.
JD Love: A 400lbs man who acts like he weighs only 200lbs. Most fans are disgusted by his actions in the ring, but it doesnÂ’t bother JD at all. Which makes the fans hate him even more. Sometimes, JD gives out a lap dance to a lucky audience member.
Jimmy Olsen: Olsen is one of the most hated men in the Upstate NY wrestling scene. Olsen believes himself to be the most handsome man in the world and finds all wrestling fans to be stupid. Olsen truly believes that he is the best thing to ever walk the face of the earth.
John Walters: Walters is simple. Walters doesnÂ’t talk smack and doesnÂ’t care about what people think about him. He goes out to the ring, kicks some ass and gets his paycheck. Walters only focus is wrestling, not the fans.
Josh Daniels: The hometown kid, which automatically makes him the biggest baby face for 2CW. Daniels style is very similar to Chris Benoit.
K-Murda and K-Pusha: Friends of Dizzie, they are very similar. The fans like their style of risk taking. They go by the name of All Money Is Legal.
Loca Vida: A masked luchadore who believes he is from Mexico. He is from Mexico, but that would be Mexico, New York. Vida doesnÂ’t have any limits, and doesnÂ’t speak any English.
Portia Perez: Considering she is the only women wrestler in the company, she has gone out to proclaim herself the Queen of 2CW as no women dares to sign with the company because of her.
Slyck Wagner Brown: “The Underground King” as he calls himself believes that he is the best thing going today on the independent scene. No one can deny his skills, but his attitude can sometimes rub people the wrong way.
Spike Dudley: Dudley doesn’t let pain keep him down. Dudley will keep coming at you no matter what. Dudley is without question the biggest “name” for 2CW as they open their doors. Dudley isn’t going to allow the young guys to walk all over him and has a lot left to give the wrestling world. Steve Kruz and Steve Mackenzie: The Killer Steves are a hated tag team in the Upstate NY area. They strongly believe that no tag team can beat them. Kruz is the serious butt kicker while Mackenzie is known to be the goofball of the tag team.
Zaquary Springate III: The England native has been a very successful independent wrestler. Springate has pinned Jimmy Snuka as a highlight win of his career. Springate doesn’t believe that American wrestlers are “quality wrestlers”. Springate has made it clear that he will show 2CW what a real wrestler looks like.
NOTE: Yes, I tried this just over a year ago, but didn't go through with it. But, this time I'm going to try and get it off the ground. Last time i unrealistically got a television deal. So, here we go, folks!

I remember you trying this before but I don't think you got very far. Hope it lasts this time and I'll be reading since it's different and I like reading diaries on smaller promotions.

2CW Adrenaline Preview:
Squared Circle Wrestling debuts on January 21st, 2006 with a show titles Adrenaline. The show will feature several young, promising stars who are anxious to entertain fans in Central New York. The following is the tentative card to take place.
Main Event: Jimmy Olsen vs. Spike Dudley - The recently released Spike Dudley from WWE is in 2CW and boy is he pissed off. 2CW has been able to sign the hardcore veteran to compete on their first show where he will compete against the loud, obnoxious and overall a**hole, Jimmy Olsen. Olsen has told 2CW management that he isn’t afraid of Spike Dudley and that he plans on forcing Spike to change professions. Can Spike let out his frustration in a positive way by beating Olsen or will Olsen earn the biggest win of his career over a bitter Spike Dudley?
Slyck Wagner Brown vs. John Walters - Both men were trained by Killer Kowalski in Massachusetts and have prided themselves on being the best technical wrestlers. On January 21st, they will be given the chance to prove to one another who the better man is.
Brodie Lee vs. Jason Axe - Lee has been making a name for himself all over the Northeast with his brute force and vicious big boot. Axe, well, has been making a lot of enemies by proclaiming to be a Main Eventer despite this being the first 2CW show. Will Lee knock some sense into Axe? Or, is Axe truly a main eventer waiting to showcase what he is all about?
Eddie Edwards vs. Dizzie - Edwards is another man who has been making a name for himself on the indies in the past six months or so. Dizzie has owned the streets of Brooklyn for several years. Who will prevail in what should be an exciting bout?
AMIL vs. Up In Smoke - Two successful tag teams on the independent scene square off at 2CW Adrenaline to see which seem is truly the best tag team in 2CW. We have to wonder what the Killer Steves think about this match!
Colin Olsen vs. Frankie Arion - The experienced Colin Olsen takes on the young Frankie Arion who is looking to get off on the right foot in 2CW.
Isys Ephex vs. Josh Daniels - The self absorbed Isys Ephex will try to spoil Josh Daniels’s return to his hometown.
Tickets start at only $12! See you all at the show!

Everything is looking good. I would love to see at least a couple of pushes that are similar to what went on in real life. Brown, AMIL, Dizzie, Ephex, hope to see them all used well because they are all great talents. Brown/Walters should be awesome. Would love to see Ephex pushed to the title, because he really deserves it. Good luck.

I like the card for the first show it has me very very interested. Especially to see Edwards & Brodie Lee at what is an early stage in their career. I also like that this is using a promotion that is not as well know. Hope you can do good things with this.

Squared Circle Wrestling presents Adrenaline Date: 1/21/2006 From: Syracuse, New York Attendance: 237
Ring announcer Bob Foley kicked off the show getting the fans amped up for the show until Jimmy and Colin Olsen made their way down to the ring. Jimmy says that he knows that everyone came here tonight to see Spike Dudley win and all that but they are going to be disappointed. Jimmy proclaims that he can backup everything that he spouts off and states that tonight he will make a name for himself at the expense of Dudley! 1.) Eddie Edwards defeated Dizzie: A decent little opener to kick off 2CW’s first show. Edwards controlled Dizzie early on with a series of kicks in the corner but that didn’t last all that long. Dizzie avoided a double knee strike and hit Edwards with a Death Valley Driver. Dizzie ended up missing a top rope knee drop and Edwards hit Dizzie with a spinning sit down power bomb! Edwards manages to earn the win following a cross legged fisherman buster (Die Hard) after eight minutes of action. 2.) Up In Smoke defeated All Money Is Legal: This was a perfect example of a fast paced tag team bout. AMIL had the early advantage double teaming Cheech with a slingshot leg drop/body splash combo for a near fall. Cheech stopped K-Murda with a big tilt a whirl back breaker before Cloudy came off the top with a missile dropkick. Cloudy’s offense was capped off with a somersault neck breaker after leaping off the middle rope on K-Pusha. Late in the bout, Cheech shoved Pusha off the top rope and hit Murda with a hurricanrana. Cloudy came off the top with a frog splash to get the win after eleven minutes of action. Jason Axe made his way out for an interview where he believed that he should have been in the main event tonight instead of Jimmy Olsen or even Spike Dudley. Axe claims to be a superstar and that 2CW needs to realize that. Axe also notes that he is going to show Brodie Lee that he is not a joke. 3.) Brodie Lee defeated Jason Axe: Well, he will need to show Lee some other time. Axe missed a running clothesline and was met with a huge swinging side slam. Lee quickly followed up with a running big boot to win the bout in under two minutes. 4.) Colin Olsen defeated Frankie Arion: Olsen showed no respect for Arion as he slapped Arion casually in the corner. Arion fought back with a series of arm drags and a head scissors take down. Arion attempted a springboard off the top rope but Olsen crotched Arion on the top rope midsection first. Olsen ended up planting Arion with a DDT to get the three count after six minutes of action. Intermission: During the intermission, a video was aired to hype up the debut of a wrestler next month in Syracuse. That debut? JERRY LYNN! 5.) Josh Daniels defeated Isys Ephex: Daniels chopped Ephex throughout the contest causing Ephex’s chest to turn incredibly red. Ephex stopped Daniels with a jaw breaker and a shining wizard. Ephex nearly won with a series of back suplexs but Daniels was able to comeback with a full nelson suplex. Late in the bout, Daniels got out of the Burning Hammer with a nice DDT and leapt off the top rope with a diving head butt to win the bout after nine minutes of action. 6.) Slyck Wagner Brown defeated John Walters: These two put on a techinal masterpiece trading several submission holds until Walters decided to low blow Brown and nearly won with a double under hook power bomb. Walters attempted a superplex but was shoved away by Brown who then leapt off the middle rope to hit Walters with a leg lariat for a near win. Brown attempted a vertical suplex but Walters was able to wiggle around enough to cause both men to crash to the floor. Walters returned to the ring to take Brown out with a suicide dive! The action continued for another ten minutes until Brown was able to hit the Appreciation Bomb and locked in the Texas Cloverleaf to win the bout after twenty three minutes of action. 7.) Jimmy Olsen defeated Spike Dudley: Although the match was not booked as a no disqualification match, Dudley made that a stipulation by force. Dudley refused to have Olsen enter the ring and instead tossed him into guard railings, ring posts and chairs held by fans. Olsen stopped Dudley by spitting beer into his face and scoop slammed Dudley on the concrete floor. Olsen jumped off the railing to deliver a elbow drop but didn’t go for a cover. Olsen tossed a few chairs into the ring and finally brought the fight into the ring. Olsen set up a chair in the corner but was rammed head first into the chair by Dudley. Dudley put several chairs on top of one another near the center of the ring before going for the Acid Drop, but Olsen countered the Acid Drop and tossed Spike onto the chairs. Olsen staggered to his feet and spiked Dudley with a pile driver onto the chairs! Olsen covered a bloody Dudley to win the bout after twelve minutes of action. After the bout, Jimmy celebrated his win while taunting a bloody Dudley. Olsen left the arena while the fans chanted for a pissed off and disappointed Dudley to close the show. [/font]

Well, it was a decent first show, but I'm disappointed if I'm being honest. I understand why, but you really only had familiar names go over in almost all of the matches. Hope to see at least one good push for one of the home grown talents, because a few of them are quite good. I will say that I hope Spike Dudley doesn't get the push he got in real life, because he should really only be a veteran jobbing to future guys like he was on this show. Good luck.

2CW “the F’n Show” Preview:
2CW returns to Syracuse, NY on February 18th, 2006 with a loaded card. After the great success of our first show, you will not want to miss out on the second show, “the F’n Show” which features the debut of former ECW World Champion Jerry Lynn!
Main Event: Jerry Lynn vs. Colin Olsen - Former ECW World Champion and current TNA star Jerry Lynn makes his debut in 2CW squaring off against Colin Olsen, who believes he is a legend in his own way. Will Lynn show Olsen that he is indeed the whole F’n show?
Eddie Edwards vs. Slyck Wagner Brown - Both Edwards and SWB won their matches at the last show and both are regarded as the best wrestlers on the independent scene. This one is sure going to be a classic bout.
Zaquary Springate III vs. Brodie Lee - Brodie Lee was dominate last month against Jason Axe, but this month he competes against the expierenced and bigger Zaquary Springate III. Lee will have to watch out for the dirty tricks that Springate has been known to use to overcome his opponents.
All Money Is Legal vs. Up In Smoke - A rematch from the first show where Up In Smoke defeated AMIL. Will they make it two in a row or will AMIL get their payback?
Isys Ephex vs. John Walters - Both men lost last month to Edwards and SWB respectively. Which man will avoid starting off their 2CW careers with a two match losing streak?
Josh Daniels vs. Frankie Arion - The hometown hero Josh Daniels looks to continue his winning ways against the young and hungry Frankie Arion. Can Arion’s speed overcome Daniel’s power?
Jimmy Olsen vs. Loca Vida - Loca Vida makes his debut against Jimmy Olsen who earned the biggest win of his career last month against Spike Dudley.
Spike Dudley vs. Steve Kruz - Spike was very disappointed about losing to Jimmy Olsen last month. This month he has a chance to get on track when he squares off against one half of the Killer Steves, Steve Kruz. Can Kruz pickup the biggest win of his career or will he subjected to the worst beating of his life thanks to a pissed of Spike?
Be sure to not miss this event! Tickets start as low as $10!

Great card man. If you put SWB over, I would love you. Springate vs. Lee should be good also. Loca Vida, lol, hope you team him with Love in the future because they are hilarious together. Just want to point out that Ephex lost to Daniels, not Edwards like it says on the card. Looking at that makes me excited for Ephex/Walters too. Can't wait.
