Id be interested to see what the actual sales numbers were for Jakks in the classic line in the UK. Im not saying yall should or shouldnt get figures or that its fair or unfair about the price but I just didnt think that in the 80s and early 90s (when the majority of these figures will take place) were very popular times for UKers. I know after SummerSlam 92 they frequented England more often but I cant even recall anything in the 80s in the UK.

London England, the forex capital of the world. Where more money passes thru than anywhere else. And we get FCUK all but flex force, and rumblers. No one wants that poop here!! Nonsense. You're being an idiot. London has tons of Smyths branches, and they have basic and two-packs 10 (which I don't even think have hit retail in the US yet), Elite 8, and various other figures from the main lines. Forbidden Planet sells Legends. They have a store in London, too. The UK got Elite 8 in Toys R Us before anywhere in America had them in stock as well. Your ranting is empty and foundless. But we stopped getting Jakks classics at series 16, except in the kind of specialty stores that sell Legends now.

Well not living there, I didnt know if it was....i guess readily available to yall in the early years. Sometimes if you cant see something frequently, it doesnt gather a following.

Absolute b0llocks. I went to Forbidden Planet last Monday. 3 legends Brian pillmans and a load of crap. Smyths has never had Legends which is what this thread is about. So unless you can tell me where in London I can consistently buy legends, its your post which is as a waste of space. If you wanna go on to them other figures, Smyths in Chadwell Heath has had Elite 7's for about 4 months. I've been there 3 times in 6 weeks, so unless series 8 came in last week, Elites are have been thin on the ground. I could care a less about basics and 2 packs.

The Japanese tried to buy us in the '80s. They overpaid and they're economy has been terrible for 2 decades. Besides the Chinese need us to buy all their cheap junk. Mattel must believe there isn't an overseas market for Legends. If they thought there would be major profits, they would be there. Japan makes tons of toys that would never be seen here if it wasn't for importers, so it's not like we get everything on the cheap. And Rumblers are cool. They're already propping you up by holding a trillions worth of US paper. Your debt wasn't 97% of GDP in the 80's. They have surpassed you as the biggest manufacturer in the world. GDP grew 10% in a year. US shrank 3.7% There are plenty of people here moaning about lack of Legends in the UK. As good a gauge as any. Believe me, about 99% of U.S. adults know all about our economic troubles. Mattel always says that it is up to the stores to order the product. Maybe the UK stores aren't ordering? Mattel kind of blindsided Legends fans over the weekend when we found out we weren't buying enough figures.

My local Smyths has a big wrestling section but the staff said they have no control over what comes in and have no idea when it comes in. So that was useful.... Toys r us aren't even worth talking about. Absolute shyte show.

Absolute b0llocks. I went to Forbidden Planet last Monday. 3 legends Brian pillmans and a load of crap. So you admit they do sell Legends. You just never got there in time to get the ones you wanted before they sold out. Good for you. But you didn't say that before, did you? You pretended that the only figures in London were Rumblers and Flex Force. Now you're backtracking like mad, saying that places in London do sell Legends but not the ones you want, Elites but not the ones you want (and yes, Smyths got Elite 8 this week... TRU got them about a month ago), and basics and two packs but you don't care about basics and two packs. Why did you try to pretend the Rumblers and Flex Force thing first? You've undermined your whole point now by lying.

(do you know what berk means in rhyming slang?) I wouldn't know if FP sold other legends, I only found out last week that they had them at all. I wouldn't class 3 figures that are a year old as stocking them would you? Doubt they had much before as they devote about 2 square metres of wall space to wrestling figures. Not mentioning, is not the same as lying is it.....I said they just have crap "LIKE" flex force and rumblers, which suggests that they have more, I just couldn't be bothered to mention them because once again they bare no relevance to the OP. I can be pedantic too, just with a better grasp of the language..... Cheers for the Smythes heads up, I'll pop down there now

In which cash, inflation adjusted means it gone down... There are hundreds of foreclosed places in Florida that were bought for 250-300k, and are now worth about 80k. Where are you? My missus has a place in Sarasota, but I might buy a place in Kissimee because its 15k GBP per 1000 square foot and I can ship figures there!

Did you even read the OP? It was overwhelmingly about LEGENDS. Yes, it was. But many of the posts that followed it discussed other lines. Including your post where you lied about there being nothing but FlexForce and Rumblers. Yes, they probably got one of those special shipments that only had Brian Pillman figures. Poor you. Again, you're either ignorant to the reality or you're flat out lying. Which figures are a year old? The Legends line hasn't even been out that long. Series 3 came out not long before Christmas. And yes, if they stock Legends figures, they stock Legends figures. There's a fairly popular online figure shop based in the UK that sells the newer Legends figures at around the same price as Forbidden Planet, too. I got three quarters of series 5 from there a few weeks back. You're lying and backpedalling again. You actually said: Not "crap like flex force and rumblers." It was a blatant lie to try and make your situation sound worse than it is. We do fine for wrestling figures in this country -- certainly better than you tried to imply. And despite what you may think, we are not the WWE's primary market. The US is. We aren't going to get everything the US fanbase gets. You're welcome for the Smyths tip.

Besides Legends, how is the action figure market in England? Are you able to find other Mattel lines like DC Universe? I've only ever seen DCU figures in comic shops here...I've never seen them in TRU or any other toy stores/supermarkets. Still though, DCUs are easier to find than Legends and supplies of DCUs are a lot more consistent in those stores than any WWE figures. The comic shops around here get EVERY series of DCUs in...sometimes WAY later than America, but they don't just randomly miss series out like happens with WWE. It seems like Basic 8 just got skipped over altogether in stores here...

It seems like Basic 8 just got skipped over altogether in stores here... Yeah, that's been the biggest letdown so far. There was one guy who said he saw them at Toys R Us, but nobody else ever did.

Christ ur boring, u on the blob today? I'm not trying to impress geeks like you, merely get information, so whether I was vague, or lied (the previous in this case) I could care a less In all your waffle you've managed to recommend a place that sells macho mans for the equiv of 33 usd before delivery, once again negating the OP because you like to have a row about nothing on an Internet forum. I like buying figures but I like value for money more. These sites are only good value for Brits when they have not sold their stock

Yes, they probably got one of those special shipments that only had Brian Pillman figures. Well, I have NO clue about the UK, but I can tell what I see in my local toyshop here in Belgium. Near the beginning of Mattels WWE start: basic series 2: Light blue Rey, Kane, CM Punk, Mark Henry (multiples of each) flex force: HBK and Cena (multiples of each) flex force ring ECW kid's belt A couple of months ago: flex force: CM Punk and Rey (again: multiples) flex force ring WWE Kid's belt Last week: Superstar Match-Ups: Rey (multiples) Smackdown ring flex force: Cena and Rey in red (multiples) flex force ring So, totally random stuff, if you're asking me...

Here in the good old USA, my local Walmart, has like 3 elite Shad figures that aren't going anywhere, a bunch of FlexForce figures, Some Signature series basics, very few legends. No basic rings. A bunch of Belts, and some rumblers. So I see that we are all in the same boat here no matter where we live.

Yeah, I'm still seeing Basic 2 in shops around here. If I see that Punk figure again, I won't be held responsible for my actions.
