Chris Von Erich The smallest and least athletic of the Von Erich family, all Chris wanted to be was a wrestler. He was the youngest son of wrestler Fritz Von Erich. His brothers, Mike, David, Kerry and Kevin all had success as wrestlers. He grew up working cameras and doing other odd jobs backstage for WCCW. He became a wrestler in 1990, but faced numerous issues. Aside from drug problems similar to his much older brothers, his asthma held him back and his bones were so brittle that he would often break them while performing simple wrestling maneuvers. He stayed with it as much as he could, and even had a small feud with Percy Pringle in the USWA. Frustrated and depressed over the deaths of his brothers (Mike in particular, whom he idolized) along with his inability to excel in the wrestling business, Chris shot himself in the head on September 12, 1991 at the age of 21. Hello there, my old friend, not so long ago it was 'till the end We played outside in the pouring rain, on our way up the road we started over again
Up and down that road in our worn out shoes, talkin' 'bout good things and signin' the blues You went your way, I stayed behind We both knew it was just a matter of time
No wasted time, we're alive today Churnin' up the past, there's no easier way Time's been between us, a means to an end God it's good to be here walkin' together my friend
You're livin' a dream, wo you on top My mind is achin', Lord it won't stop That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop

I find it kinda disrespectful, even though he was the lesser known Von Erich, all of the Von Erichs were in the first LOW game, but him..
For some reason I find that a slap in the face

If he just could have waited a little longer, he might have been a great cruiserweight wrestler. Cruiserweight wrestling really took off in 1996, 97 & 98 and he would have only be in his late 20's...

Even though he was a great inring performer, can't find sympathy for anyone that kills themself Yeah, it is a pretty drastic measure, but with so many family deaths i have some sympathy for what he went through, although the Hart family has had their share of tragic moments, and Bret is still hanging in there. Back on topic, i haven't really heard of him besides the new Families of Wrestling DVD. Sad story, but i agree he probally could've made his way up if he held on a little longer.

Yeah, I remember Chris Von Erich. It's really too bad he felt there was no other way out and commited suicide. We'll never know how far he would've been able to go.
