Last Night at Slamboree: The Outsiders retain their WCW World Tag Team Championships by defeating the team of Sting and The Giant. While Sting gets pinned, The Giant looks on disapprovingly.
Tonight, Sting will call out The Giant to get some answers!
WCW Monday Nitro is on the air!
Tony Schiavonne is joined as always by
"The Professor" Mike Tenay &
The One and Only "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko. As Tony & Mike run down the card and remind the viewers that tonight is a special one hour episode due to the NBA Playoffs, Larry takes his "kudos".
Eric Bischoff and the
WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Hollywood Hogan lead out the black & white nWo come out, including nWo Japan, while Zbyszko expresses his disgust for the "new World
odor". Eric takes a fan's sign that reads "Bischoff -1 McMahon -0. nWo 4 life"
Bischoff: And we love each and every single one of you too! You know, I'm not the type of man to say "I told ya so" but I told you so! Do all you people realize that I'm 2-0 now as a wrestler? I beat that
fossil, Larry Zbyszko, and just last night, the would saw me beat Vincent Kennedy McMahon! That win last night means more to me than my 98-2 ratings record over that other show!
Hogan: You know, nWo-ites, its easy to see that the original new World order is the dominating force in the entire wrestling world! Not that cheap ripoff Wolfpac, not the WCW, and as Easy E showed last night, brother, certainly not that sinking ship up north! As far as that red and black attack is concerned, dude, none of you is man enough to take my nWo World Heavyweight Title! You can all try, but with The Disciple by my side, I know I'm in good hands, brother!
Now, that brings me to the problems within the family! Big Brian Adams, last night, brother, you wasn't able to beat Flexy Lexy! Tonight, I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself by taking out that backstabber Macho Man! You let me down, and you let all the brothers down too! That match is up next, so go get ready! By the way, good luck, and maybe goodbye...
Secondly, Giant! You and Sting couldn't beat The Outsiders, brother! You lost the Tag Team Titles, and still never got The Stinger to join! Tonight, after you face Luger, I want you to present Sting with the colors, big man. 'Cause when you're nWo, you're nWo 4- life!
Bischoff: Do the right thing, Stinger!
The commentators review everything we just heard & Zbyszko talks about how much of a liar Bischoff is before the first commercial break.
CommercialBack from commercial, Tony talks about how the fans can watch the encore presentation of
WCW Slamboree all week long as
Kimberly & The Nitro Girls dance.
Brian Adams (w/ Vincent) vs. "Macho Man" Randy SavageThe two new World order factions start the action off here, and these two members certainly have a bit of history going way back. The big man, Adams used his power against Savage, who has alot to prove if he indeed wants to keep his spot in the nWo. In the end, however, it was Macho's unpredictability that prevailed when Vincent unknowingly tripped up Adams thinking it was Savage. This allowed Savage to deliver the big elbow for the win!
Winner: "Macho Man" Randy SavageAfter the match, Adams and Vincent get into a shouting match, and Adams ends up decking Vincent and walking away, leaving him out cold! Bischoff runs out and gets in Adams' face, but Adams punches Bischoff too!
CommercialStills of the Cruiserweight Battle Royal & Championship match from last night are shown before the next match.WCW Cruiserweight Championship Match(c) Dean Malenko vs. CiclopeThis match barely got underway. The announcers said that Malenko set this match up as a thank you to Ciclope. While the action was going on, Chris Jericho came out through the entryway with a sign that read "Conspiracy Victim" with an arrow pointing down. Once Dean saw this, he left the ring, and went to face Jericho, but Jericho's security guard, Ralphus, got in between the two men. During all this, Malenko got counted out, giving Ciclope he win, but not the belt.
Winner by count out: CiclopeJericho: Hold on there, Malenko! I know you and that one eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater in the ring, plotted against me last night so that you can illegally get a shot at me and my coveted and beloved WCW Cruiserweight Championship! Not only you, but that Quasi Juice Guerrera, and that fat tub of goo, JoJo Dillon were all part of a conspiracy to get that belt off of me! So, I'll tell you what I'll do, Stinko Malenko, I'm gonna follow and pester JoJo Dillon until he does something about this!
Malenko: Jericho, I don't know what your problem is, but if you want a shot at the belt so badly, I'll give you your rematch anytime, anywhere!
Jericho: No! aren't you listening? Or has your cauliflower ear gotten that bad? I don't want a stupid rematch! I want you stripped of my belt, I want you re-suspended, and I want someone to proclaim me as the undisputed and undefeated WCW Cruiserweight Champion!
As Dean and Chris argue, J.J. Dillon comes out.
Dillon: Jericho, the decision stands! Let the records show that Ciclope won the battle royal, and unmasked as Dean Malenko, and then went on to beat you! Dean Malenko is STILL the WCW Cruiserweight Champion of the world!
Jericho throws another tantrum as Nitro goes to another commercial.
CommercialStills of the Bowery Death Match from last night are shown before the next match, including Mortis's post match beatdown on Raven and unmasking."Diamond" Dallas Page (w/ Kimberly) vs. Mike EnosPage made quick work of Enos. In fact, Enos spent more time trash-talking the crowd and Page. After a minute or so, Page easily put him away with the Diamond cutter after a mistake from Enos.
Winner: "Diamond" Dallas PageAfterwards, the
nWo Wolfpac comes to the ring while page is in the ring.
Scott Hall: Hey, yo! We ain't here for a fight, mayne. All we want to do, is present you with the colors of The Wolfpac.
Kevin Nash: What do ya say? Join us in the good fight. You know we go way back! The Diamond Mine was running this joint before politics broke us all up and me and Scott went up North. How about we reunite and do it all over again, and make some big money in the process?
After Nash tosses DDP a red and black nWo shirt, Page looks to legitimately think it over.
DDP:You know guys, I despise that little
rat, Bischoff, and Hollywood
Scum Hogan as much as you do, I'd love nothing more than to take them down once and for all-
Hall: DDP in the Wolfpac is " Just.. 2... Sweeeet!
DDP: -BUT... but, like the old saying goes, when you're nWo, you're nWo for life. Black and white, or black and red, you're still the nWo, and the nWo stands for everything I'm against.
Nash: Well, that's you're decision, and we can respect that, but if you ever need any help, you just throw up the old signal.
Before the last commercial, Tony says that immediately after Nitro, on wcwwrestling.com, there will be four bonus matches airing live!
Commercial"The Total Package" Lex Luger vs. The GiantTwo big powerful athletes here, going at it in the main event. As strong as Luger is, The Giant is way bigger and stronger. Luger used every bit of power he had to get The Giant on his shoulders for the Torture Rack, but suddenly,
"Hitman" Bret Hart ran in and hit Luger in the back of the head with a lead pipe. The rest of the nWo Hollywood soon followed in the beat down. Then from the rafters, Sting rappelled into the ring and fended off the nWo, and from the entrance, The Wolfpac runs in to help Sting. Hollywood Hogan & the rest of his goons exit the ring with Sting holding them off with the bat.
No contestSting:Hogan, I'll get to you sooner than you think. Just know one thing, don't trust everybody that surrounds you. I may or may not have a mole within the nWo! It's Showtime, folks!
Schiavonne: Ladies and gentlemen, we are out of time! Join us Thursday for WCW Thunder, and don't forget to log in to wcwwrestling.com for four extra matches right now!
