Does anyone know for sure if WWE/F taped all or a majority of their dark matches? What brings this to my attention is that it seems like in the Hulkamania section of 24/7 it is mostly or all dark matches. I'm curious of this because, for example, in 1997 when I check back the results there some great dark matches such as Sid v.s. Bret v.s. HBK and a few RAW's with HBK v.s. Mankind, so on ... these matches seem awesome to me and since we never got to see a triple threat between Sid, Bret and HBK on television I'm wondering if these records exist and we could ever possibly get to see them.

I'm not sure if they taped all house shows but its a possibility. In the early 90's the really banked on that stuff with superstar videos and things like that. I would love for them to come out with some house show dvds for some reason but it probably wont ever happen. Best bet is to find superstar videos of that time period of wait for them on WWE 24/7

It's hard to say. If it was a main-event dark match (which I think is what you are referring to), then it's possible some were filmed. Maybe for a future VHS/DVD release, or just so WWE could get a look at how a future PPV match came across on camera, etc.
For the pre-show dark matches, I can recall a few of the 1980s TV tapings I went to had dark matches where the cameramen, lighting crew, etc. were clearly covering the match. However, it's possible that they were using the match as a way to test their lighting, cameras, etc. before the real show started, as opposed to actually filming it for keeps.
The last Raw taping I went to (2004, Miami) had a main event dark match featuring Evolution, and the cameramen were all tearing down their equipment during it, so maybe they don't film the matches anymore. Even back in 1986, I went to a WWF Superstars of Wrestling taping where the dark match main event was Hulk Hogan vs. Paul Orndorff, and I distinctly remember noticing that they were not filming it (I was curious at the time if they would film it for a Coliseum Video release, so I made a specific effort to watch for cameramen... they all put down their equipment and left ringside before the match started).

Normally for dark matches they leave the 2 main cameras on but most camera men (the walking ones) stop filming.

I'd be willing to be that WWE has some sort of video record for every match wrestled in one of their rings for at least the last ten years.
I've been to upwards of 15 house shows, and at every last one, they mentioned before it started that it was being taped.
