Kurt Angle says the whole company has changed its name. They haven't. Jeff Jarrett has confirmed it long before this was announced (a few days ago at the least). It could be a gradual re-branding.

I love the change. Sure, we're used to the name TNA but if you back tracked to the inception of the company, Impact Wrestling would always sound better. Plus it makes sense for this new push for actual wrestling they're going for. They want to appeal to the worst kind of Internet Wrestling fan, the morons who bitch and moan about WWE commentators not saying the word "wrestling" enough. TNA has forgotten they already tried to appeal to these idiots with the "THIS IS WRESTLING" campaign a year or two back, and nobody cared because there aren't enough of those people to make the company a success anyway. Honestly, this is so true. As a fan, I don't really care about how profitable a name change is, but it is kinda sad how the fact that them emphasizing wrestling will really do nothing for TNA. The 'wrestling' fans know about TNA, there's just not enough of them nowadays.

If they actually tun the company around and try to make an alternative to WWE I'll watch. If not its back to reading spoilers.

Impact wrestling is fine, but there actually needs to be.. you know... good wrestling on the TV shows. Not 2 minute interference matches.

That reminds me of the "We're Not Divas" campaign, and I think within months The Beautiful People amped up their act and the rest was uneventful history.
