WCWA World Television Title Match
Jimmy Jacobs (c)
vs.
Beef Wellington
Regardless of the outcome of their upcoming No Rope Barbed Wire Death Match on Synthetic, the WCWA World Television champion will be appearing on the Japanese tour. Meaning, one way or another, the championship will be appearing as well. Furthermore, with this news, WCWA Senior Official Jason Verdoes passes down the news of the very first match for the Open the WCWA Gate PPV. For the WCWA World Television championship, one more time, Jacobs vs. Wellington. This is huge news because of how rare it is for a champion to have two title matches lined up in WCWA. Both wrestlers will also be appearing on the Revolution from Japan, against Japanese tour wrestlers. On the PPV, they will be the only WCWA vs. WCWA match.
Razor Blade Board Death Match
Danny Havoc
vs.
Jaki Numazawa
From two different sides of the planet come two like minded individuals, two sick and sadistic bastards with the sole intent on destroying whoever placed in front of them, with no regard for their own well being. Big Japan Wrestling's Jaki Numazawa has proven he has no regard for his own body and the scars all over his body tell this story better than any words could. Here stateside, Danny Havoc has proven himself to be a total and complete sadist, going through three of the most brutally disgusting death matches at Dark Desires, in a losing effort to capture the King of the Deathmatches. At Open the WCWA Gate, these two men will do battle for the very first time anywhere in a first time match up for WCWA. An inhumane, sadistic, and perverse match.. The razor blade board death match.
One on One Match
"The Franchise" Shane Douglas
vs.
"The Living Dead" Onryu
They say the easiest way to gain notoriety is to call out the baddest man you can find. They also say it's 2006 and word spreads viciously fast through the internet. Onryu called out Shane Douglas on a recent DDT show and within a day, the word and subsequent video made it back to The Franchise, who took time off from his Synthetic announcing duties to formerly address the Japanese star. Douglas is FAR more than a broadcast journalist, a former ECW Heavyweight champion, WWF Intercontinental champion, XPW Heavyweight champion, WCW United States champion, and WCW World Tag Team champion, Shane Douglas has seen and done it all in professional wrestling. So for Onryu, what does he really expect to accomplish by calling out the foul mouthed color commentator of Synthetic? Well, if he can defeat The Franchise, he will have defeated a sure fire future Hall of Famer. And more importantly, he will have shown that his bite is much mightier than his bark. In 2006, can the Franchise say the same?
WCWA Death Match Title Match
100 Light Tubes and Barbed Wire Boards Match
Daisuke Sekimoto
vs.
WCWA Death Match Champion Brain Damage
Daisuke Sekimoto comes into Open the WCWA Gate with a heavy reputation of being a stiff fighter with little regard for his opponents well beings. Did I just describe Brain Damage? I think so! The Hardcore Terminator shows no intimidation and more often than not, shows no pain. He can take an unreal amount of punishment and in WCWA, has proven himself the top dog in deathmatches, winning the last King of the Deathmatches tournament by besting Necro Butcher, The Messiah, and Danny Havoc in destructive fashion. For Sekimoto, this match is not just a chance to win his first deathmatch championship, but also a chance to become a highly paid WCWA wrestler. Should Sekimoto beat Brain Damage, he will advance on to face Eddie Kingston at Sweet Dreams, to defend his newly won championship. Sekimoto is known for his unreal feits of strength. Will he be able to dead lift German Suplex the 250 pound native of Last Chance, Texas?
One on One Match
Eddie Kingston
vs.
Takashi Sasaki
Eddie Kingston is long established as one of the baddest, toughest, and hardest hitters in WCWA. But on Open the WCWA Gate, he'll be facing someone who can strike just as hard, suplex just as viciously, and perhaps rivals the toughness of the King of Diamonds, as Eddie Kingston does battle with Takashi Sasaki. Sasaki is known for his strong style strikes, namely kicks, which if they land, almost surely guarantee a knock out. For Eddie Kingston, this is a dream match, as he faces someone who embodies the Japanese strong style he's mimicked for his own career, the style of Genichryu Tenryu, Mitsuharu Misawa, and so many more of the 80s and 90s strong style revolution. Is this a dream match for Eddie Kingston or a nightmare? The match is made a bit personal, as Sasaki teamed with Claudio Castagnoli and Chuck Taylor, the bitter rivals of Eddie Kingston, the Kings of Wrestling, to defeat BLK Out member and friend of Eddie Kingston, Jack Evans, and Delirious and Pac on Revolution.
Hardcore Deathmatch
One on One Match
Necro Butcher
vs.
"Crazy Monkey" Jun Kasai
A riddle for you. What do you get when you take the craziest, wildest, most insane and out of his mind wrestler from America and pit him in a match with no rules and weapons readily available with the craziest, wildest, most insane and out of his mind wrestler from Japan? Predictably carnage. This will be a fight. Plain and simple. Jun Kasai has built a reputation for himself as being deranged and out of his mind, with no regard for his own body and even less for his opponents.. The Necro Butcher, the West Virginia bar fighter, shares a similar attitude. Korrikean Hall will not be big enough to hold the action when these two wild men square off.
One on One Match
Delirious
vs.
Matt Sydal
Most of the WCWA wrestlers are absolute strangers to the wrestlers on the Japanese tour and have never faced off. This is not the case. Matt Sydal and Delirious have wrestled each other more times than they can more than likely count (though Delirious' ability to count at all is questionable) as they came up together in the St. Louis wrestling scene several years ago. This grudge match stems back to even before Delirious and Sydal were professionals and should be one for the record books.
World Title Mini Tournament
Chuck Taylor
vs.
Pac
Winner of that match advances to a match later in the night, for the WCWA World Heavyweight championship
vs.
Jack Evans
A special attraction match pits one half of the Sweet Dreams tag team titles match, WCWA World Tag Team champion Pac, and number one contender Chuck Taylor against each other. These two bitter rivals would have no qualms with tearing into each other.. But at When Worlds Collide 2, they'll have added motivation. Their match will go on early in the night, because later in the night, the winner of the match will return to compete with WCWA World Heavyweight champion Jack Evans, for the title. This is a huge opportunity for these two men to jump WAY up the card in one night. Championship matches aren't thrown around in WCWA and on this night in Japan, one of these two could make themselves a huge star.
