I don't think I can say anything that already hasn't been said. I watched the Macho Man since I was a kid. I used to have his wedding poster in my room with him and elizabeth. It's crazy to think that one of the most memorable posters I had is now of two people who have died.
Macho Man was never a favorite of mine, but it's going to ruin listening to Graduation music from this moment on out.

Terrible.. I was just patiently waiting for him to come back to the WWE one more time.. God, I can't even imagine the ovation he would have received..
"The Madness" is over.

The worst thing about this....aside from the obvious....is that Savage really never did get his proper "return"
He never got the big comeback story, not necessarily to wrestle, but just in general ya know? I was hoping so badly that next year they (the WWE) planned to induct him to the HOF just so we could finally get another appearance from Savage on RAW and the like. I wanted to hear one more madness promo...one more "ooooooo yeaaaaa" from the man himself..
The All Stars commercial was just a tease...I was looking forward to more. Taking nothing away from the others that have passed....This really is the worst loss professional wrestling has had in a LONG time....and so unexpected too.

This death transcends wrestling. People who dont even watch wrestling are writing about Randy. SportsCenter just mentioned him. I just cannot believe that my 2nd favorite ever is gone. My graduation is next week. While others will be crying about leaving high school, Ill be shedding a tear once I hear Randy's music. R.I.P. Randy ing Savage! "BONESAW IS REEAAAADYYYYYY!" Our school's graduation was last night, and while the rest of the crowd was watching the seniors walk onto the field, I was looking up to the sky while the music was playing. But as sad as it was, there was a quote that stuck out. "Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened" And although I know its hard to hold back those tears, I think Randy would love us all to think of the good times and memories. Whats everyones favorite Macho Memory?

I become a fan of wrestling on '06 so I didn't know Savage. But once I learned of him and watched some of his matches, I was definitely dumbfounded. This guy is an epic in ring competitor. Let's just hope he was happy before he died.

It's weird because a week before he died I bought his Legends series 5 figure. I know this is silly but I can't help say it. RIP Bonesaw McGraw.

This was brought to my attention- This happened to the brother of a kid I went to high school with:
Professional wrestler Randy "Macho Man" Savage greeted a former fan's autograph request with a body slam, according to a lawsuit filed recently in Northampton County Court.
The suit says Savage, a Largo, Fla., resident now billed as a "good guy" on the World Wrestling Federation circuit, stood over the bleeding, injured man and said, "How's that for an autograph, boy?"
Phillipsburg attorney Joseph J. Russo filed the suit on behalf of David Peschel of Washington R.1, N.J. Peschel is seeking compensatory and punitive damages from Savage, whose real name is Randy Poffo.
Criminal charges are pending in Northampton County Court in the alleged May 7, 1986, attack on Peschel. Savage, who is 6-feet-4 and weighs 280 pounds, according to the suit, also has criminal charges pending against him in Florida for allegedly assaulting a 65-pound 9-year-old fan who asked him for a "high five."
According to Peschel's complaint, he had attended a pro wrestling match featuring Savage on May 7, 1986, at Agricultural Hall in Allentown. Savage, whose picture was on the cover of the program, was at the time the holder of the WWF's "Intercontinental Championship." He had won that title from Tito Santano at the Boston Garden "after striking Tito Santano's head with a blatantly illegal blow utilizing a hidden weapon," the suit says.
Peschel, who is about 20 years old, was driving home along Route 22 when he spotted Savage, driving east in a blue Mercedes Benz. Savage was accompanied by his wife and manager, "Miss Elizabeth," and a 6-foot-tall, 350-pound bodyguard.
Savage exited at 13th Street in Easton, and Peschel followed. Savage stopped for a red light and Peschel motioned to him to autograph his program, then got out of his car and approached Savage's.
Savage, Miss Elizabeth and the bodyguard all got out of the Mercedes and Peschel politely asked the wrestler for an autograph, the suit says. In response, Savage struck Peschel in the face, then lifted him above his head and threw him to the ground in a body slam.
As a result of the body slam, Peschel suffered a variety of injuries, including fractured vertebrae, as well as facial cuts and bruises, bruised and damaged ribs and blurred vision, the suit says.
The complaint says the attack was unprovoked, and Savage intentionally and maliciously committed battery on Peschel "with wanton and reckless disregard for his rights, safety, life and limb."
He ended up settling out of court for 4 ringside seats to a future PPV.

Either he got mixed up with someone else or this is confabulation. Savage was never close to those dimensions.

R.I.P. Too bad he couldn't return beforehand. I'm sure a return was in the cards and wasn't too far off. I mean, with him reaching a new WWE action figure deal with Mattel and signing with THQ to be in the new WWE All Stars video game, that would lead me to believe that he was on VERY good terms with WWE at that point and I'm sure he was in talks with WWE about a return, but it just didn't happen in time. I would've loved to hear the ovation he would've got. I'm sure it would've been HUGE.

I find it very difficult to believe that a guy was beat up that badly and settled for 4 ringside tickets to a PPV.
