Which game in your (humble) opinions produces the most faithful Ladder Match?
Of course some of us remember how mind blowing it was all the way in the year 2000 when both AKI and Yukes put out their respective games (SD!2 & NoMercy) with ladder matches in them. Smackdown! always had this very arcade-y feel to them (what with all the no selling and unrealistic ladder attacks) and while the No Mercy Ladder Matches had nearly perfect pacing always seemed a bit off.
I've been playing SvR'11 quite a bit and usually find the 1 on 1 ladder matches very pleasing... that's not counting the AI's tendency to ALWAY GRAB THE F%&KING STAIRS...
So I guess my answer would be SvR'11, although No Mercy isn't far behind....

2011's are great. The physics alone added to the ladder allow you to do things you could never do before in anygame.
I've always enjoyed WrestleMania 21's version of the match. It was a much more paced version, but was a lot of fun and different for its time.
Same goes for LOW2's which was way different from what was going on in any other game at that time (around SYM). You could not only control climbing the ladder (like each step up) but also pulling down whatever was up there. Also, the item hanging slowly lowered to its correct spot during the match so you couldn't just grab a ladder and win 10 seconds in which I always thought was interesting.

I never played LOW 2 due to the move sets from 1, thinks like Bruno doing Kid Kash's double underhook piledriver as a normal grappling move... Did they fix that in 2? Or was there anyway to change the default move sets?
I'm going to try and find a LOW2 ladder match vid now, you have me intrigued

I think the movesets were at least somewhat better though. I think the reason it was like that in LOW1 was because that game was originally planned to be the next ECW game. At least I heard rumors of that back in the day. When you look at the moves, arenas, and call names to choose from, I don't find it too hard to believe either. That would've been so awesome too...

I remember throwing my controller across the room after losing a 2 hour (NO JOKE) MITB match in 2007.

If DOR had the improved ladder physics of SVR 2011, that'd be the best one in my mind.

SVR 11' MitB matches are actually pretty easy , if you lure all the opponents up to the top of the ramp by taking all the ladders and yourself and waiting there until everyone else in the match joins you then grab a ladder and run down to the ring , set the ladder up and grab the case . () You may have to do it 2- times)
But i guess if you want the authentic feel then it will be harder. I have tried playing MitB matches the normal way and it is pretty difficult especially when the AI are all standing looking at your downed character while one of them grabs the case.
I do prefer the SvR 11' Ladder matches due to the ladder physics but i would say No mercy and DOR 2 are not far behind

SvR '11 defiantly. I remember back in SD! Shut Your Mouth you could just leap off the ladder if you werent close enough and hang on the belt. I always like doing that for some reason.

After reading through this thread again, one thing that I realized I failed to mention was 07's. The whole sweet-spot method to pulling down the belt/object was such a great idea. I don't get why they ever took that out.

2011 has made me play I don't know how many ladder matches. They are a lot of funny but easy to win after a while. I wish the computer players were harder.
