I'd assume part of it is the work that goes into them, being totally unique sculpts and all, not to mention the "action" features of the zombies. Well as long as it's worth the wait then it's cool I guess. I guess a good comparison would be Mattel/WWE - which the design team said it can take a year to have one superstar's debut figure released. From the planning, developing, manufacturing, and initial release. I can't wait for the new figures!!! Shoot, I just can't wait for protos right now!

McFarlane's Spawn.com had the set scheduled for release November 11th, however I keep hearing "in store's December". --Also, if anyone collects cards, Cryptozoic Entertainment is releasing Season 1 trading cards (with special wardrobe, autograph, and sketch/art cards) on December 13th. They also have a limited edition (of 500, I think) Walking Dead binder that comes with a Andrew Lincoln/Rick Grimes costume card called "Rick's first kill" that is NOT available in packs. ...I'm totally ordering a couple of retail boxes upon release.

I have watched every episode since day one and just started the comics, I will be getting all of the McFarlanes for sure! So glad they are doing these they are awesome! Can't wait to see a Carl and Deer 2 pack in series 2 hahaa.
I saw the comic book series figures at ToysRus and they were around $17 a pop for a 3 inch figure. Seemed kind of steep but They looked cool. They had different variants of the zombies but I didn't know a whole lot about them when I saw them the first time. Ill be waiting for the TV show figures instead probably.

I did not actually pick them up but the shelves were packed with them. They looked small.

No worries, I keep hearing different sizes on different forums (a lot of 3 3/4") . I kept saying 5-5 1/2" inches and NO ONE would listen to me. I just finally said, "alright, I guess I'll take a picture".
lmao

In the packages they look to be 4 inches to 4 and a half. I have seen a few people pick them up look at them and put them down saying they like them but they are tiny for the price point. Maybe if McF had used different packaging the size wouldn't have been an issue but I can see why people think they look so small.

Uh what? The prison/Governor arch is arguably the most popular part of the comic among it's readers. How is that set not good?

Uh what? The prison/Governor arch is arguably the most popular part of the comic among it's readers. How is that set not good? Agreed. I'm actually pretty pumped for Riot Gear Glenn. I'm wondering if it will be the eye patch version of The Governor. Given that we got the spoon, drill, hammer and all that with Michonne, it doesn't really shock me that we are continuing to get characters in line with that arc. Daryl specifically but Rick as well are my big wants for the TV line, but the comic versions are the most interesting to me now since we have seen so many characters come and then go. I actually would have preferred a TV Glenn over either of Andrea or Shane, although I have no problem with either as they are a significant part of the show. I'm wondering if we get a Lori and Carl set in either line, and I'm guessing Dale has to be a really strong possibility for Series 3 of either line as well. My most wanted I guess are Glenn, both comic and tv, Maggie really from either, a Lori and Carl and Duane and Morgan set, and Tyreese. There are a ton they could do but who knows how many lines will come out.
