As a 40 year old Wrestling Fan, I've had some great memories and experiences throughout the years and would like to hear some of yours. Whether it's from televised events, live events or even personal meetings.
I will never forget the first time I saw The Four Horsemen on TBS. It was when they first officially came together as a group and told the wrestling world they were a unit and were going to dominate and such. It was the origin of the first real "faction" and my first introduction to product outside the WWF.
As for a live event, I will never forget seeing Stan Hansen defeat Rick Martel, live in East Rutherford NJ. The live crowd left as Rock tapped to the Boston Crab, but I was cheering as I had been a Hansen fan. The fact that I had just witnessed a heel victory for a championship, at such a huge event, combined with the emotion of the crowd was simply amazing.
As for a personal meeting. Ric Flair has always been my favorite wrestler and I've met him numerous times but it wasn't necessarily the most memorable meeting. Meeting Roddy Piper was simply amazing. He too, was a childhood favorite and idol and in addition to being a great wrestler, he is also a class act. The way he speaks to you and interacts leaves you feeling special about the encounter.
Runners up would be meeting Chris Jericho and Arn Anderson. Jericho and I were talking about the Transformers movie and joking about teaching Cena to wrestle. When I met AA, Ric had just been admitted to the WWE HOF by HHH and I had mentioned that as a fan I felt like it wasn't right. he looked at me, smiled and said "No, no...I'm ok with it, the right guy got to do it, but I appreciate you guys thinking about me".
Lastly...the Benoit Case. I admired Chris Benoit and followed his entire career and learning of his death was sad enough, let alone finding out about the grisly events that transpired. This event pushed me away from Wrestling for about 2 years, as the mere thought of it just made me sad and sick, constantly hearing about the lifetsyles, suicides, addictions etc that plagued the sport I so loved.
I thought it would be cool to share some of these memories here, in the classic section, as I assume there will probably be others like me who have experienced more than that of the casual fan.

King Cobra biting Randy Savage's arm. I was only 10 and Superstars was shown on Sky One at 10pm at that time, the snake incident was at the end of the show so was almost 11pm by then. (that was late for a 10 year old to stay up in my house lol) Anyway I remember going to bed frightened as hell not believing what I had just seen on a wrestling program. That is an obscure one, but a memorable on my part.
The first time I saw Hogan slam Andre at WM3, was another I couldn't believe happened.
Scott Hall turning up in WCW just weeks after being Razor Ramon was confusing, then Nash as well, I honestly thought WWF was invading WCW.

I was 9 when my Da got sky in our house in 89.I started watching WWF and it was in the midst of the Mega Powers feud and they were showing WMIV repeats .......I was hooked.
then I seen WMV......oh man it was all WWF until 94 for me...lost interest then until 96

I remember going to my cousins house after school one day in 1990, his dad had been leant a video of Wrestlemania 6 (think this was the first main event shown in UK) as soon as it went on I was hooked, the larger than life characters, the music, I was taken back by all of it.
When I went home I begged my dad to get Sky, after a couple of months he gave in.
I still put Mania 6 on from time to time and it never fails to have me glued to the tv. When I think of wrestling the first thing that comes to my head is champion vs champion hogan against the warrior

My earliest memory of wwf is in early 93. In late 91 i moved th america and wwf was big. I started watchin wwf mania and i will always love todd pettengill! Anyway my first ppv i watched was summerslam 93 and i was hooked on lex express but also was fond of foreign fanatics and my second event live i saw luger and borga and i remember cage match hbk vs bret hart!!
So i came back to uk in 94 and we didnt have sky but my dads mate used to record the events off sky sports that was around late 94 to late 96, i used to rent videos like Wrestlemania 8 and 9 and i remember the piper/hart was awesome, when we got sky and i watched survivor series 96 i was buzzin that we had sky it was awesome. WWF was on at tea time then.
Lost interest shortly after the european title tournament in 97 then got back into it in 98 and was hooked on stone cold, He got arrested one night on raw in 98 somethin to do with vince or undertaker and i was so worried for him lol
Then from 98-2004 i would watch raw week in week out in the front room friday nights sometimes bring a few figures down lol it was awesome. what i would give to be a kid again sometimes.
In 99 i went to my first event in 6 years and the one thing that stands out in my mind is when the cameras went off air Triple H had some fake t*ts and was walkin round with them on.
I have been to numerous house shows and have been 4 rows from my childhood heroes like shawn michaels, HHH and rick flair to name a few.
Nowadays i watch wwe experience and superstars but its not the same and never will be IMO. I dont have sky sports and usually read raw and smackdown results and the only ppvs i will buy is the main 4.
Gonna keep my eye on this thread, love it!

god,there's so many of them!
Watching Jimmy Snuka stand atop the steel cage in MSG,bathed in flashbulbs, before leaping down onto the Magnificent Muraco....
watching,with surprise,the report on All American Wrestling that the Iron Sheik beat Bob Backlund to win the WWF World Title....and a few weeks later finding out (and seeing) that Hogan had won it...
watching the debut of this new wrestling program - TNT (Tuesday Night Titans), combining a talk show format with taped matches and skits and stuff....it truly was a revolutionary concept at the time....
going to this little Video Rental store in the mall here that got all the WWF videotapes in as soon as they came out,and renting them to see for the first time,the first 3 WM's, Wrestling's Bloopers,Bleeps,and Bodyslam's , WWF's greates matches,etc....
getting my first PPV that was offered here, the inaugural Survivor Series in 1987....
getting my first WrestleMania - IV - in 1988 .....
driving up to Scranton,PA. at the Catholic Youth Center to see live WWF action about 4 times a year or so....
those are just the first 9 - 10 years i was a fan....

My #1 moment has to be when Warrior beat Hogan at Wrestlemania. Another very fond memory I have is when Warrior beat Rude for the IC Title at Summerslam 89. I was such a huge Little Warrior back in those days (I always will be I guess haha).

July 96 Raw came to seattle, before that I had seen nothing but house shows. Back then they filmed 4 raws at a show it was awesome. my buddy grant had a sign that said bring back crush and he came back with clarence mason that night. also it was farooq's wwf debut. awesome show, I had aisle seats you can see me on that show all night, want a good view of me? when jannetty is hiding behind the R I am the guy smacking him on the back

I have three that stick out to me the most.
HBK/Undertaker HIAC. It was an awesome match, but Kane coming out, ripping the door off and attacking Undertaker hooked me on wrestling.
Chris Benoit/Eddie celebrate their World Title wins. I was there LIVE to see it happen. It was an awesome main event as well. Some people don't like this WM, but it's my favorite as being there in MSG completely changes everything.
Then how every time there was a PPV in the 90s up to 2005 we'd always have a bunch of people over to watch the shows. Now I only do it for big ones like the Rumble, WM, Summerslam, and SS.

Here are some of my most memorable moments when I was growing up.
Ron Bass taking the spur to Beefcake's forehead.
The whole Adrian Adonis/Piper fued leading to Wrestlemania 3.
Road Warriors putting their spike to Dusty Rhodes' eye.
The Horsemen kicking Sting out of the group and beating his ass on Clash of The Champions.
Sting finally winning the title from Flair at GAB 90.
Col. Debeers wrestling Jake the Milkman Millman on a turkey on a pole match during the dying days of the AWA.

Nikita Koloff hitting Sting with the Chain single-handedly started the Cold War for me. Rocky knocking out Ivan Drago ended it for me. (Yea I view them backwards from when they happened lol)

Going to the first Buried Alive match. I was 6 and i almost crapped my pants when the lighting him the tombstone.
Seeing Austin win the wwf title from HBK at Wrestlemania 14.That was the first live wwf ppv i ever saw.
Getting free tickets to wcw sin. My 5th grade teacher got my parents and i tickets because i raised my grades.

A few of mine from childhood, since that's when I got hooked:
-- Watching Paul Orndorff turn heel on Hulk Hogan in 1986 (I actually had posters of Mr. Wonderful and Hogan side by side on my bedroom wall at the time, and was so livid that I tore Mr. Wonderful's off the wall)
-- Attending a house show in 1986. Main event was Ricky Steamboat vs. Jake Roberts in a cage match, and I was wearing a Steamboat souvenir headband. During the intermission to put the cage up, my dad & I were stopped in the concourse by a woman that noticed I was a Steamboat fan. She pulled a color photo out of her purse, with Ricky & her at a gym, and autographed it for me. It was his wife, Bonnie. I was on cloud nine to have met my favorite wrestler's wife in such a random way, and I still have the photo.
-- A few months later, attending my first TV taping and seeing Randy Savage attack Steamboat with the ring bell, live in person. Due to kayfabe still being strong in 1986 and Steamboat selling it like a million bucks, half the arena (including me) thought Macho Man was attempting to kill Steamboat. Pretty shocking for a kid my age.

Benoit shaking my hand, for that 2 seconds it was like me and him were the only ones in that arena.
But, the world title celebration. watching it with my Mom and Dad was amazing. my dad disliked benoit only to make me angry and when HHH tapped it was so funny and amazing to watch. get goosebumps all the time from watching it

My most memorable moment was this year, when I found out Randy Savage died. He was such an icon, such a wrestler, then he died, it was one of the saddest things I ever heard. Memorable, yes. Good, no.
