Jack to a KingDespite it being a film about my football team's arch rivals it's a well told and interesting story. 127 HoursReally well made film. Keeps your interest despite knowing how it ends. I was far less squeamish watching it this time than I was when I first saw it in the cinema.

Did someone on WFigs defend everything about 50 Shades of Grey? I hate that people have bought into this nonsense.. It's sad that people consider her terrible books to be literature, and that terrible movie to be good. The same people that think porn is demoralizing, but buy midnight passes to see this softcore dungeon rape because it was released by Universal Studios and has the media's hype train! stamp of approval.. That somehow makes it OK. The amount of money it has made exposes America's stupidity.. And the movie has been ripped to shreds, thank GOD. Even the actors are ashamed.. They're probably more ashamed than joel Schumacher was after making Batman & Robin.

Europa Report - pretty crapty. I like sci fi when it's done well, and I liked the cast members I recognized, but the film is all build with little pay off. Also worth noting that you really felt like you were watching a movie set, unlike, Interstellar for example, where I honestly felt like I was travelling through space due to just how well the film immersed you. 5/10
Cube - I used to see this film all the time in my local video store many years ago but I'd never watched it until now. I have to say, it had several short comings (the biggest offender being how poor the acting was at the start of the film -- although it really improved by the end), however, I really enjoyed it. It was extremely gripping, had some excellent make up effects, and it is one of the best examples of a film making use of its small budget. 8/10
Short Term 12 - Can't recommend it enough. It is all round a perfect piece of film; hilarious, smart, heart wrenching. The cast probably deserve the biggest props, even the smaller roles, as they all brought the film to life. Really deserves to be mentioned up there with the best films of the last 10 years. 10/10

Big Fish
I wrote this movie off as "weird" and "not my thing" back in 2004.
I was probably right back then but my taste has changed since then.
With that being said...loved it. 10/10

Watched "Interview with a Vampire" for the first time since seeing it in the theaters. I had forgotten that Banderes and Slater were in it. And now I am just finishing "Lone Survivor" again.

It was a pretty decent movie. I was a little freaked out though since I hate clowns with a passion.
