that movie. I mean don't get me wrong, it's good. But I have an awful memory from it. There this was chick I was in love with for years. Finally mustered up the courage to ask her out and for our first official date, we went to dinner and a movie. Dinner was great. Romance was in the air. All that crap. For the movie, we decided to just watch something at my place. We had no idea what to watch, so I decided to ask a friend of mine for a recommendation. And he recommended Hard Candy. I didn't know what it was, so I said screw it why not. Have to say, it was probably the worst choice for a first date movie. Romance doesn't fly too well during a movie where a chick feigns castrating an anesthetized pedobear. She enjoyed the movie. But it kind of left a somber atmosphere. And just when it couldn't get any worse, I punctuated the awkwardness with an attempted goodnight kiss at her doorstep. Not only did she duck me with Catwoman-like reflexes, but there was a group of about 6-7 junior high kids hanging out a few doors down and they all witnessed the trainwreck.

Snatch. that movie. I mean don't get me wrong, it's good. But I have an awful memory from it. There this was chick I was in love with for years. Not only did she duck me with Catwoman-like reflexes, but there was a group of about 6-7 junior high kids hanging out a few doors down and they all witnessed the trainwreck. Gutted! A movie about a young girl taking a kiddy fiddler hostage doesn't exactly scream date night material.

Luckily this opened in my city. Really excited about seeing it.. Hopefully this week! Just rewatched Cloverfield for the first time in 2008 Now that TJ Miller has become TJ Miller, I couldnt take anything going on seriously.. Every time TJ said something(which is the whole movie)I just smiled thinking how silly he is. I wasn't crazy about it then, and I'm still not crazy about it.. Cool way to kill some time, even one of the better found footage films.. But that's about it.

The Public Enemy.
I never saw it until now and honestly, I was influenced by 'The Great Movie Ride' in Disney Hollywood Studios.
I'm glad I watched it. Truly excellent.
Tom: "So beer ain't good enough for you, huh?" Mike: "Do you think I care if there was just beer in that keg? I know what's in it. I know what you've been doing all this time, how you got those clothes and those new cars. You've been telling Ma that you've gone into politics, that you're on the city payroll. Pat Burke told me everything. You murderers! There's not only beer in that jug...There's beer and blood - blood of men!"

I saw it in theatres in 2008 and own it on Blu-ray. Great, old-school monster movie.

"Remember" staring Christopher Plummer & Martin Landau.
Synopsis: With the aid of a fellow Auschwitz survivor and a hand-written letter, an elderly man with dementia goes in search of the person responsible for the death of his family.
Such an intense film! Shocker of an ending!

Purge Election Year. Thought it was great. Best out of the 3 imo. The movies get a lot of unecessary dislike. They're fun horror/action movies that appeal to those whole like to see that old school Rated R violence but have a step up in the character/story/fx department.
