The Lobster. Was weird, unnerving, and brilliant.

OH NO! This was my first intro to him. You should give Frances Ha a shot if you haven't already. Adam Driver is in it. It's not my favorite Baumbach film, but a lot of people really like it. He's also in "While We're Young", but Noah Baumbach movies are really hard for me to sit through. I like about half of it, but that half is not all at the same time just the total amount.

The Shape of Water. Among Guillermo del Toro’s best.

Riddick. I know a lot of people didn’t like it but I thought it was okay. It reminded me too much of Pitch Black though.

The Magnificent Seven. I've had the movie since before Christmas, and finally sat down and watched it with the day off. I liked it, and loved the personality they had for each of the seven. Watching it made me wish that they produced more westerns.

(One of my all-time favorite movies) And then I watched Shaft with Richard Roundtree last night.

The Greatest Showman.
Not understanding the hate that it’s been receiving and negative reviews. As a musical, it’s incredible. One of the better overall movies I’ve seen in recent years.

Yesterday I watched Sergeant Rutledge. (One of my all-time favorite movies) And then I watched Shaft with Richard Roundtree last night. The remake, which is kinda funny, since I usually hate remakes, but I always love Denzel, so that was one point in me wanting to watching. Also love westerns, so maybe the remake thing doesn't bother me there, as I also loved the recent True Grit with Jeff Bridges. Then again, on that note, I think I'd be pissed if they ever tried to remake one of Clint Eastwood's westerns, too.

I saw all of the Pitch Perfect movies. 1&2 I had to watch before going to third at theater. Also watched the 2 newer Garfield movies with mom. The ones with Jennifer Love Hewitt in them. All were pretty good.

Kong:Skull Island. I liked it a fair bit but I wouldn’t say it kept my attention the entire time. The end fight with Kong against the big Skullcrawler was insane though.

I have to flex my cinephile nerd muscles here...the original starred Toshiro Mifune & Takashi Shimura. In 1954, and I don't mean this lightly, one of the greatest movies ever made, "Seven Samurai," was released. It was remade in 1960 for U.S. audiences as "The Magnificent Seven."

Yeah, that is all true, but I don't count that because it wasn't a western.
