I'm guessing they're not aware that term offends us.
Oh well.

A lot of wrestlers call figures dolls. It's not really an uncommon thing.

Well I don't take it as disrespect or lack of knowledge. From the part I saw, he seems to actually be a pretty enthusiastic collector. He said he has all the LJN figures including some that weren't released and he said he has all the Hasbro figures. To me it's like when people call soda "pop". It's just a different way of saying something.

doll [dol] –noun 1. a small figure representing a baby or other human being, especially for use as a child's toy. So there you go. Also, he's Canadian, of course he's going to be a little odd.

I KNEW IT! I kept telling my parents they are NOT dolls. They're in denial and maybe a little jealous I have more elite's than them.

I wonder when the term "action figure" was coined? Cause it seems like older people don't say it. They almost always say dolls.
It's nothing to get upset about.

It's nothing to get upset about. i believe it was first used with the original 12 inch gi joe figures back in the 60's... 64 i believe.. because they thought boys wouldnt want to play with dolls.. so they "dolled" up the term and we still use it to this day

I don't think he means anything by it, it's just the word he uses for them. He did seem interested by the idea of Legends popping up in the line.

Considering the amount of whining that goes on here when people are worried they won't get to dress their wrestlers up in fabric clothing, "dolls" is about right, anyway.
