Depends how bad you want them. Elite 11 and 12 won't be out in retail for a while. Still waiting on E10 and DM4 to hit.

Legends & DM I preorder from RSC. Basics & Elites I wait until retail unless it's HHH & Orton...then I preorder.

I buy online and in store. I don't mind a few bucks more for a figure, but I don't like having to pay for shipping.

I usually pre-order but with funds being really tight right now, I am going to wait and see if Elite 10-12 hit retail around here before next year. For me its not an issue of having the figures early, its having them at all. I wouldn't mind the waiting, driving around a looking for figures if there was a chance I could find them.

Pre-ordering has been very helpful in keeping my collection complete and up-to-date. At first, I was hesitant to pay the additional costs that come with pre-ordering. Unfortunately, it started taking a lot of time to eventually find everything. It started with E6 which took me weeks to piece together. All of this hunting just started to cost me a lot of time and gas money so I switched to pre-ordering and I'm glad I did.
Between buying the full sets and using the "wfigs" code, each figure in my last order only came out costing $2.41 more than retail. All together, it's over $25 but it's about the same, if not less, I'd pay in gas driving all over town for a few days trying to find them all. So I'm saving time, not worrying about missing figures, and getting them months in advance!

Pre Order. It's worth the extra few bucks per figure to know exactly when they'll be put on my doorstep and not have to worry about going from store to store dealing with the headache and the bullsh*t of retail stores and their employees. Plus the extra money it cost to pre-order usually is about the same as it would be to spend gas, mileage, and precious time going from store to store coming up empty handed. Oh and did I mention that when you pre order you get stuff at least 1 month before it hits retail? People are haven't found 2 packs 10 in stores, yet I've had them since April (some got them in March in the 1st shipment). Pre ordering is the way to go. F*ck the hunt, I'm too old for that sh*t LOL

Preorder since I live in Germany and we only get 2 Elite figures in retail. Mostly those 2 are the ones I don't want

They both have their pros and cons. With Pre-Order, you are guaranteed to get the figure you want, but you will be paying more. You also don't have to deal with scalpers or running around town to different stores, trying to find the figs you want.
With retail, some stores might not even get the shipment of figures you want. If they do get them, their is a huge chance scalpers will get the figures before you even have a shot to go to the store and buy them. If you do find it in a store, you will paying less than if you pre-ordered it.

Pre-Order, all the stores around me are way too behind on figures and i don't mind paying extra to have them at my door months before they hit retail.

I pre-order/buy online stuff I really want and then the other stuff I can be more patient to get I grab at retail. The new Punk was a must pre-order for me so I did, but there are other figures that we saw that I will definitely get but I don't need to spend the extra money to get them right away.
I will say, that if they show up on mattelshop or if RSC runs a sale that I have no problem ordering online to save myself the trouble of driving around. I'm completely over the "thrill of the hunt" to be honest, I would rather just have what I want at a price I can live with.

I think I am over the thrill some what. I just want the figure...but for a decent price. I'm leading towards pre ordering.

I finally caved and pre-ordered E11 & 12. I'd love to find (and pay) retail for the figures I want, but it takes nearly half a year for figs to hit retail after online gets them. Also, you'll never know what you're going to get at retail. Anyone, including scalpers, can pick from your scope of wants.

I've NEVER ordered a wrestling figure off the internet. The only thing I wanted and didn't find in stores was RA38 Brian Kendrick.
I'm really tempted to order that exclusive SES Punk now though...

Depends on my funds. Lately, I've been able to save up well and pre-order a lot of stuff. I think from Elite 8 on, Basic 9 on, 2Packs 8 on, and Legends 4 on I bought all online as pre-orders. I am currently up to date and will not have to look in retail for a LONG, LONG time. Yea, it is a bit more, but for me to drive 30 miles to where the stores that have the figures are, it saves me the gas. Plus, when I drive to those stores 90% of the time they don't have anything, so it is always a risk driving up.
Overall, it probably costs me less to pre-order things online and pay the shipping then it would to wait and drive to the stores.

Very rarely pre-order. Im always afraid of paying too much when pre-ordering and then seeing the same fig somewhere down the line going for a lot cheaper. I think it pays to have a little patience.

I rarely pre order stuff so for me retail but I would pre order something if I really wanted it and I thought I would not be able to find it in stores.
