Hey guys, i need a pick me up or a bit of comfort if thats what you wanna call it because like many of you have probably done one time or another i have spent more than i should have on figures. I seen a bunch of good deals on wwe legends figures and ending up spending $265.
It never seems like much when you buy a single figure but when you add them all up thats when it really hits you and you start to question yourself. Though i must say im pleased with the prices i got the figures at including the shipping but i mean $265 is a crap lot of money to me and im just wanting to hear other peoples stories of when they've spent more than you should have. Lets hear them.

Wow that's a lot. I owe my Mom 70 bucks from SDCC because I only had 110. It's my passion, so I don't care if I overspend.

Regret nothing. You'll love the figures in the end.

Well if you are buying it and not your parents, that's not to bad.
I spent 260 just on Elite 11 & 12, Defining Moments 5 set.

$265 is a good amount but dont lose sleep over it , before i had my kid and when jakks run was ending i was spending about $500 every two weeks catching up on figures and making customs..... that was a huge waste of money, I sold all my jakks figs, but i plan on keeping my mattels

Yeah, I just spent quite a bit on figures again too! Here's what I do to make me feel better about it: I just average out the cost of each individual figure and compare it to the full retail cost, with tax included.
For example, each figure in my last order cost me $2.48 more than retail and that's with shipping taken into account. Considering how much time and gas money I'll be saving, that I'll be getting them weeks ahead of time, and not having to deal with hunting down a figure that's packed at only 0.5 per case then it's all a pretty good deal at the end of the day!
So don't feel bad, $265 worth of Legends sounds like it's going to be an epic day of receivings!

Well ill tell yous what i picked up and see what yous think. Keep in mind im from the UK and got the figures loose because the prices of moc legends over here is beyond ridiculous. Anyway here it goes.
Bam Bam Akeem Rick Martel Vader Jake Roberts Nikolai Volkoff (2 pack) Bushwackers (Luke and Butch) Sgt Slaughter Iron Sheik Dusty Rhodes HHH (Entrance Greats) Ricky Steamboat Ultimate Warrior Jimmy Snuka Iron Sheik (two pack) Rick Rude Rey Mysterio (Entrance greats) Lion-o (Thundercats 14")
So like i said $265 for all the figures the fact i bought them loose saved me lots on shipping which was great being from the UK. All mint btw with accessories. Hows that sound?

One seller actually owes me $8 for overcharging me which i realized after going over the prices. Thats what i want to make a point of to people, if your getting combined shipping always make sure to double check that they charge you the quotes they say.

Well I only get five bucks a week, but my mom gets me one freebie a week also which saves me a boatload since I'm only 15. Whenever I get my final grades for school I go out and spend big time, and this summer has been no different but I probably spend less than $25 a time with figures.

Only spend what you can. There's no need to spend money on toys if it tears apart your marriage, keeps food out of your kids mouths or puts you in a tough spot financially.
As one of the adults on the boards, I don't buy unless my bills are PAID. Honestly, you'll find what you need if you just have a little patience. Sometimes waiting and paying less is a big adrenaline rush. Example? I just bought Defining Moments Shawn Michaels at my Target for 11 bucks. Felt a lot better than dropping 30 bucks.
On the other hand, if you've got a good job, have no debt and can afford it... why not?

Dude I know exactly how you feel. I remember going to TRU and buying a whole set of classics and then on my drive home being somewhat pissed that I spent over $100 on figures when I had bills and crap to pay. The best thing that happened to me was Mattel taking over because I felt like I could finally stop collecting. I always felt like I had to buy EVERY Jakks figure that came out. But when Mattel figures came out I said to myself "I'm not starting my collection over again and buying the same guy over and over again" I collected LJN, Hasbros and Jakks. That was enough for me. I'm 31 years old now with a wife and a 5 month old boy. I Still look at all the new figures but I don't have the urge anymore. I can't wait to hand over my collection to my son. (or sell it all and take the family to Disneyworld lol)

Some times i gotta learn to put the brakes on!

As long as you can afford it you might as well spend money on stuff you enjoy.

I know where you're coming from, I just spent over $600 buying everything new from SDCC on pre orders. But I had the money saved up specifically for figures, and won't have to worry about buying anything for the next 3-4 months at mass retail cause I'm all caught up. As long as you're happy with you purchases that's what matters. But when you start spending your rent money to buy figures, then you'll find yourself getting into major trouble.
$265 is a great deal for what you got. Feel good about it, you earned that money, enjoy the figures.
