No but the thing is, for the first few months, Mattels were moving VERY quickly. They only started to slow down when we got the RR set, E6 and L3 which if you go to many stores, can see are the sets they ordered far too much of. Sales were booming for over the first half of 2010 and given thats after the christmas period, it means they were genuine interest sales. The stores had probably interpreted this the wrong way and thought everyones buying so lets just order a tonne of the stuff and sell it cheaper but its backfired. Sales all comes back to what is on the shelf in front of people and it is the stores that dictate what is on those shelves. All the good trends were there but the stores got it wrong and have dug themselves a hole. I completely understand sales and inventory levels dictate when new product is ordered but the current situation and problem all stems back to the poor choices made back then. The stores should have continued with how they ordered before, just modest consistent orders. The retailers/distributors are ultimately responsible. Its unfair to shift most of the blame to sales and customers because they are only willing to purchase if they want the product in front of and for most, that isnt the exact same thing they see in every store for 6+ months.

I sent Mattel this Message the other day Hi I was Just wondering if there is any new If/ and Or when we can expect to see some new WWE Elite series figures and also what series will they be And they Replied with " Hello Nic, Thank you for contacting us, we appreciate the opportunity to respond. WWE Defining Moments should be in stores now (it was released in 2010). Over the past 5 months we have released the following new series: 2011 Signature Series Series 9 Series 10 is scheduled for release in the next two months Likewise we have been releasing new Elite mixes every 2-3 months. We only bring minimal amounts of each mix into Australia to ensure we protect the value of each mix for collectors We attempt to launch all assortments into Australia, but we can not track what character is in each store. The best bet is to check out our website www.wwetoys.com.au for when each mix is released or keep trying in store. Good Luck! Yeah Umm?

The retailers are not those at fault. It's the poor sales of our beloved products that cause these stores to not put new stock on the shelfs if there's no "movement". Even when on clearance, Mattel can't seem to sell a damn WWE product because of this problem. Ask yourselves this; if the shelves at your local Target are filled with Mattel's Signature Series and have sold next to nothing in a month, do you think there going to put out a newer product i.e Basic 9/10? The answer is of course not. Retailers would barely know that the SS series is somewhat outdated and should order another set from their warehouses. Because it's not going to sell; in which saves them money by not ordering more stock and eventually having to mark down the items by default just to make a dollar. Having working in retail, I know the process in which all products are dealt with in situations like these. I was kinda right in saying that it's due to lack of demand, though. Wasn't I?

And also "We only bring minimal amounts of each mix into Australia to ensure we protect the value of each mix for collectors" Isn't this the same thing that we were told multiple times when we contacted Mattel in the old thread? Must be some sort of automated service / copy-paste situation. Really slack on Mattel's part...

Yeah It was Also I emailed Kmart this
Hi I'm a big Fan of The Mattel WWE Action Figures, and am a bit disappointed with amount and lack of stock. I believe your latest series of Figures were Elite series 6 and that was almost a year ago when you got them and the last time I went to my local store which was last week there was absolutely nothing to do with WWE. So I was just wondering if and or when will you be ordering in some more figure especially The WWE Elite Series Thank you
and this is the automated message I got straight after I sent it Thank you for taking the time to forward your comments to Kmart on the 12-Aug-2011.
We value your feedback, and wish to advise that the matter you have raised has been referred to one of our Customer Relations Representatives who will be in contact with you in the near future.
We look forward to being of service to you.
Regards,
Kmart Customer Relations
So Hopefully I get a reply soon

In response to this....... WWE Defining Moments should be in stores now (it was released in 2010). Over the past 5 months we have released the following new series: Series 10 is scheduled for release in the next two months Basic 10 HAS been released here in Australia, I don't know if i'm the only one that is finding them in stores or what.... With the Defining Moments line......i'm guessing it hasn't been released yet due to pricing. They need to generate a NEW price for the line so i'll give them some time on that note.(My guess is $40-50) Will be checking my TRU tommorow which seems to be the only store in the country with the most up to date WWE/Mattel products.........Plus TRU currently has Matty EG on sale at 17.49 and Legends at 14.99. Good luck!!!

Haven't seen any basic 10 locally. IIRC the last figure that was the "latest" addition was Elimination Chamber Drew McIntyre.

Ive reported seeing B10 on a few occasions. That response from the mattel rep is exactly the same copied and pasted response which again I noted a while ago. They are just giving the standard responses however they are wrong about DMs as they have hit. Either they are unaware the order has changed or there are DMs sitting in a warehouse somewhere. To be honest, I dont see DMs selling well here anyway as they are likely to be $40 or the retailers will make a massive mistake and all will get them for a decent price, so many it clogs shelves forever like E6/L3.
You guys should reply to the response mattel gave you and tell them we have not received any new elites since November 2010 and this is BEYOND the 2-3months timeframe they always suggest. Its clearly not the case and it is because of the retailers but those reps should not be sending out this severely incorrect information.

WELL I AGREE AND DISAGREE WITH YOU KIDM.....!
EVERYBODY SHOULD SPAM RETAIL & Mattel WITH COMPLAINTS.....IT'S THE ONLY SOLUTION...
BUTT Mattel ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SHORT FALL IN FIGURES AS STATED BY THE REGURGITATED MESSAGE - "We only bring minimal amounts of each mix into Australia to ensure we protect the value of each mix for collectors
WE KNOW THIS IS A LIE, WHY PRETEND IT'S RETAILS FAULT....?
AND FURTHER MORE IF I WORKED THE LARGEST TOY COMPANY I WOULD KNOW MY PRODUCT FROM THE INSIDE OUT AND MORE STRONGLY ADVISE RETAIL WHAT THEY SHOULD OR SHOULDN'T BUY.....
A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF RESPONSIBILITY MUST FALL ON Mattel...!

A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF RESPONSIBILITY MUST FALL ON Mattel...! There is no way the blame can be passed to mattel though. They dont choose whats at retail. They openly state they give every retailer/wholesaler worldwide and domestic the entire catalogue of products and it is the choice of retailers regardless of what Mattel say or do. The line of minimal amounts is just the usual copy and paste line, its only somewhat true in that Aus gets less stuff than the US and such but the retailers decide how much we get in.

In addition, spamming won't really do much, seeing as they'll just reply the same thing, and it's us, what, a small group of die-hard collectors who are asking for them, when thousands of people pass through a retailer every day giving sales to the retailer.. and that's at just one retailer. There are hundreds across your state and thousands across Australia.
What I'm saying is, we can beg and plead all we like, but we're not gonna get anything. Until they actually start stocking them, I think it's best to buy our beloved figures over the internet.

I wish Ringside gave you a chose of what shipping you want. It's nice getting the figure within a couple of days, but i don't want to pay twice as much in shipping.
