Who would have thought that we could have done the double over a team like Sheffield Wednesday in our first time in league 1? Far from spectacular like our 5-1 win over them earlier this season but It got the job done. Next, we have to hope for a miracle if we are going to get anything against Spurs but it will be an incredible day for us.

Lee Clark has been sacked by Huddersfield... What an absolute joke that is, ridiculous. Fantastic win from us over one of our bogey teams Peterborough last night, 3-1 flattered them, we should have been in double figures but their keeper and the bar saved them. Next up is our other bogey team Ipswich away, will be a hard game but we just have to keep winning. Also got my Wembley ticket for the Carling Cup final today !

I'm thinking either Leeds or Wolves have tapped him up or something. It does seem a bit suspicious considering how well they've done this season.

That's insane, I'm sure he'll end up at a championship club, probably Leeds. Wonder if McDermott has gone as well?

Hull City are looking okay for the play offs.. What does everyone else make of there chance? I feel we win our game in hand and Nick Barmby continues doing really well then PL here we come.

Still pretty confident we can go up, hopefully it'll be automatically although we lost the breathing space we had after losing to Blackpool and Leicester with two bad performances. Need to keep pluggging away and winning games.

I reckon that Cardiff will be in the Play-Offs again, not because I don't think they're capable of getting up automatically but I can see Birmingham pushing on and getting 2nd, that said I can't see them doing as badly as last year if they do end up in the play-offs, from what I've seen in the few games I've watched Cardiff look much more of a team under Mackay than they did under Jones (?). Hull have surprised me since Nigel left I fully expected them to drop away and not cope well with losing him much like we did, but the've done a good job in appointing someone who isn't going to try and change things massivley which was the problem when we appointed Sousa. Still don't think Hull will make the Play-Offs personally, you've got a lot of difficult games before the end of the season and I reckon that you'll miss out at the end but wouldn't be shocked now to see you end up in the Play-Offs. We're pretty much out of the play-offs now, just going to enjoy the FA Cup while we are still in it and hope that the Thai owners stick with Nigel for next season.

You're right there Mark, we're much more oif a team full of determination this season so I think we will definitely fight until the end, hopefully we are at least in the play-offs by then. Blackpool at home and Leicester away were two of the worst performances we've had of the season.

Colin and Leeds are made for each other really, desperate for us to deny them a play-off place on the final day at Elland Road, sure Leicester's chances are over but it'd be nice to stop Dirty Leeds and Warnock going up.

I hope it doesn't come to it but apparently (According to someone on a Leicester forum) this is what the table will look like if Portsmouth go out of business.
1 Southampton 32/61 2 Reading 31/57 3 West Ham United 30/55 4 Blackpool 31/54 5 M'Boro 31/52 6 Birmingham 31/51 7 Brighton 32/50 8 Cardiff 30/49 9 Hull 30/48 10 Burnley 32/47 11 Leeds 31/45 12 Leicester 30/43 13 Palace 31/43 14 Barnsley 31/39 15 Derby 31/39 16 Watford 31/37 17 P'Boro 30/35 18 Ipswich 30/34 19 Millwall 32/31 20 Forest 31/31 21 Bristol City 32/30 22 Coventry 32/28 23 Doncaster 30/25

I really hope Portsmouth can stay a club, I have no idea why but I always liked them. It is crazy what would to the table if they did collapse.
Stevenage are not having a great time recently, After 2 losses away (We should have beat Notts County, Charlton was predictable) I thought we would be destroyed by Huddersfield, It looked that way when we went 2-0 down but Robin Shroot and JMW both completely turned the game around for us and we got an unlikely draw and a great comeback. I'm wary about Gary Smith after last night, We had alot of injures but the team he put out was probably our worst team possible. We need to sign a proper striker who can score week in week out in the summer.

We've signed Liam Lawrence on loan from Portsmouth for the rest of the season, really happy with this. Also Filip Kiss has signed on a permanent deal, he's been decent for us this season, shows some good potential.

Liam Lawrence, what a legend. Was my favourite Sunderland player from when he joined until he left, quality Championship midfielder.

Whitts is really tired mate, you can tell. Needs the load taken off him a bit, I think he's played literally every game this season including extra time in the Carling Cup. We've a really small squad and were crying out for someone like Lawrence, I'm delighted. Liam Lawrence, what a legend. Was my favourite Sunderland player from when he joined until he left, quality Championship midfielder. Could never believe him leaving Stoke a couple of years back, he was brilliant for them. Oh well, good signing I'm thinking.
