now that the matty line up has been announced for last year,it got me thinking about how our collections could be more complete. I have noticed a severe lack of black legends. we have kamala, the rock...and i guess if you want to be generous akeem! i know it may be a little late for the design process, but how cool would it be to get a black history wave/ or set??? there are so many great black names in wrestling history,it would be nice to see more in the collection. who would you like to see?

...I believe Shango is coming out in one of the next Elite sets...he'll be the first one since they integrate Legends into that line...

How about we just NOT look at them as black or white or hispanic or aisan(Sorry if i missed anyother races, but you get my point) legends and just make "Legend" Legends. I don't think we should have segregation in a toy line.

We shouldnt have segregation but it is pretty uneven right now. I dont think its mattel its just that WWE itself has not had alot of Black world champions.

Slam Master J.......ANYWAY D'Lo Brown is a big time want. Euro-Continental Champion! And Wrestlemania Mr. T would be a huge deal for Mattel also.
Booker I'm sure is coming in the normal line, or at least in the Flashbacks.

I'm hoping Booker T is in E13 as a Flashback fig.

I agree they aren't all Legends..... but everyone has a different opinion on what is and what isn't a Legend. We are getting a Papa Shango.... and possibly a Savio Vega. Are The Bushwackers Legends? I just wrote a list of notable black wrestlers/personalities.

This is actually an interesting subject. Looking at the list Juice provided I'd think JYD, Farooq/Simmons, Booker T and KoKo B Ware would be the ones who have the best chance.
I would say Ernie Ladd, Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas SHOULD be but they come from the wrong era. I don't think Mattel will touch the 70's very early 80's era now that this line has gone to Matty.
What I DO know is I'm really sad JYD didn't make the cut for the first year. I do agree with the sentiment of the O.P. there does need to be some more diversity in this line.

Doom to me is one of my ultimate dream figs to be made. Their Galoobs figs were horrible with the sweat pants (why Galoob?). They ruled NWA/WCW from 89-91. Not only that we would FINALLY get Butch Reed.

are my top buys in the list. Im sure more will be made just gotta be patient. Just think, back then, black wrestlers were a rare talent too come by. Compared too today, black athletes are more well known and easier to find in the ring.

I don't think there should be a black set. But I do think we need more black figures in general. I want to make an elite Zeke but I have no parts to choose from. I also wanted to make the Dudleys but again no parts for Devon.
