Hey guys,
i'm a big comics fan, always have been but it's been years since i've actually religiously followed any series i just pick up the odd book here and there.
I used to be more into it but then my wrestling obsession took over and well you can only go so far with your money
Now,i been a member on diffrent boards and have sorta kept up with what's going on,so i guess you could say i've fallen back into the casual fan category altho i still consider myself more than that tbh, my knowledge mainly extends from 90's era until around 2000 ,that's when wrestling took over big time, also living in belgium doesn't help much because just findin comics is an adventure on its own around here, you americans are lucky with the proverbial comic shop on every street corner.
The point is, whenever i do buy comics ( i mainly buy hardcovers and paperbacks because it gets my full storys at once) i enjoy them as much as ever, but sometimes when i spend too much time on boards and start reading up about series reboots and retcons and all that poop i get depressed to the point that i just want to quit comics all togheter because i'm so far behind on almost anything really that it seems impossible to catch up.
so what do you do ? i've been going the ' just buy what i want and not care " route for a few years, for example, i bought the killing joke deluxe hc, batman gothic, an xmen legacy hc....and even tho i like them, sometimes i think "why am i reading this, none of this probably still matters today"
continuity can be a real hassle,it's like watching random wwe shows out of order, sure you still enjoy the wrestling itself but the fact that you know you jump from point a to z and back to the middle makes it confusing and frustrating
