Just had my draft yesterday. I've been following football for years, but this is the first time I actually did a draft. It was a 12 team league, and I had 10th overall. I'm kinda worried about WR, but thought i would see what you guys think.
QB Phillip Rivers Matt Schaub
WR Miles Austin Austin Collie Malcom Floyd Earl Bennett Steve Breaston
RB MJD DeAngelo Williams C.J. Spiller Darren Sproles Justin Forsett
TE Owen Daniels Brent Celek
DST Jets
K Adam Vinatieri

I wouldn't have drafted Schaub and Rivers; Rivers by himself would have been fine. I'd try and trade Schaub if I were you. WRs are thin, but not terrible. I love seeing a fellow Bears fan draft Bennett (if only the Bears would realize that he should be their #1 then we'd be set). RBs are also thin besides MJD and DeAngelo.

Yeah the only reason I drafted Schaub was because he was still around in like the fourth round so I figured why not, maybe I'll use him as a trade piece. Besides the guy right after me drafted Rice and Charles right in a row, so they were both gone But yea if I can get a decent level WR and/or RB in return, I'll be happy.
Haha yea Bennett was definetly towards the end. I figured he's Cutler's favorite receiver, so maybe he'll actually get a decent amount of TDs. He should def be starting over Hester though..tis a shame hes not.

Since you had Rivers you definitely didn't need another legit fantasy QB, especially taking him in such a high round. Could of got a better RB or WR. Still a pretty solid team.

You should've been drafting a WR when you took Schaub.

Yea I'm seeing that now. I cant remember exactly who was left when I drafted Schaub, but I shoulda just taken the best WR available. Theres a few owners who need QB help tho, so if I can try and get a good WR for Schaub, I'll take it.

Theres a few owners who need QB help tho, so if I can try and get a good WR for Schaub, I'll take it. The problem with doing this is that Schaub is considered a low-end starting QB. As in, he's going 8th or 9th among quarterbacks in most drafts. This means that only a handful of teams are likely to have a QB who is worse than Schaub. I'm not saying you won't be able to get anything for Schaub, but if you really did take him in the 4th round, you probably should've been looking at WR's like Jeremy Maclin, Marques Colston, Brandon Lloyd, Santonio Holmes, etc. This is tough because those WR's are most likely a starter on the team you're going to be trying to trade with. Someone with, say, Matt Ryan at quarterback isn't going to be very likely to give up one of their starting WR's for a perceived-to-be slight upgrade at quarterback. Instead, you're probably going to end up looking at a WR along the lines of Kenny Britt, Percy Harvin, Mario Manningham, Sidney Rice, Brandon Marshall -- that tier. It's not the end of the world, but this is why I almost always advocate waiting on quarterbacks. Especially when you already have a good one. Unless one of the "elite" tier slips down that far, you're just setting yourself up for a REQUIRED trade that everyone in your league knows you need, and they're going to try to screw you. Then again, you might be in a league with a bunch of morons, so I don't know. LoL.

I looked at a few of the rosters and the ones that might work is one team who has Fitzpatrick and Stafford and Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams for legit WRs. The only thing that would work here is if maybe Stafford gets injured. The other team that looks like a better situation is this team with Romo (only QB) along with her being stacked in receivers (Andre Johnson, Roddy White, Julio Jones, Percy Harvin, Sydney Rice). And then like you said there are some teams with borderline ones like Ryan and Cassel.
