Apparently I'm at 50% warning level and all my posts have gotten reset to zero.. Did I make quick posts to get to 50? You're damn right, but so what? I didn't spam anything and I contributed to each topic that I posted on.. I got a msg from one of the members on here warning me that the mods don't like all these old topics being brought to page one. Well maybe give ppl that join access to the classifieds without a 50 post minimum and you won't have to worry about it. Yea because someone has 10,000 posts it means he's more trustworthy than the next guy who has a few. That's b.s. it's the internet and when you're dealing with sales of strangers everyone is a risk.. Not like amazon or ebay with seller reviews and all that. I've been reading this forum for years now, and figured I'd join so I can get rid of my big jakks RA collection without the hassle of ebay. Apparently that ain't gonna happen on here because I don't "play by the rules" I've given Ringside Collectibles plenty of business throughout the years. So if this is how they treat a loyal customer, who just wants to access the damn classifieds... I can take my business elsewhere...Whoever u guys got moderating these forums needs to man up, and send me a msg instead of "mysteriously" erasing all my posts and giving me a warning level.. So go ahead and ban me on here now, or delete my thread. I said my peace, and if you guys want me to have any respect left for this site, than do the right thing here.. Hell, the money I got from selling my jakks collection on here, I was planning on putting right back into ringside and continuing my mattel collection.. Balls in your court now.. what's it gonna be??
Oh and btw... You're Welcome!

More posts and more time on the boards DOES make you more trustworthy. You have more of a reputation at stake then someone who just signed up.

Whether you contributed to the threads or not, bringing back old threads isn't allowed. In your defense though, from what I saw, the threads you posted in were only on like page 2 which I don't think is worthy of a post delete.

Not saying you are right or wrong... but for me personally, I won't trade with someone with a low post count. I'm sure lots of people feel the same way.
There are rules on here for a reason man. Don't take it personal.
And think about this for a second, why would someone want to trade with someone who bends the rules? Doesn't make sense really.

Uping old posts is spamming the boards. Upping old posts is not spamming when you've been through all the threads on the 1st page.. Nice pic of Lebron... I'm stepping up and telling them what their choice is not crying about it.. U got a personal issue with me then u can send me a private message and you can find out for yourself... Ok Brother???

Ok Brother??? bro when ur uping pages that ppl stopped commenting about and are like a wk old it's spamming. That takes away from the new discussions or current posts ppl took the time to write. You even said u were only posting to get to classifieds. Not the right way to do things, especially when ur looking to sell items to ppl. Just my 2 cents

I'm honestly not even looking to trade as much as just sell my collection through paypal. I'm verified on paypal, and paypal can and will reverse sales and settle disputes if the buyer has been ripped off.. As far as the post count, yeah it's like that in all forums high post count = more reputation but I honestly don't buy into it. Theres plenty of scammers out there with high post counts and reputations. I mean if you're buying off a seller on ebay or amazon, then yes feedback and rating is very important. That's totally different though..

Just my 2 cents Well your version and mine of spamming are completely different. I consider spamming more of me eithe A.) just writing 2 words like "thank u" in every thread.. or B.) me trying to sell a product or service with a signature or banner under my posts on here...

I mean it is bad enough to get the Possible Bad Trader tag but if they do enough scam damage I thought they would be banned for good..? I can see why you would be upset [someone should have explained to you via PM if they didn't] but 50 posts can get done again relatively shortly so just try to get there by replying to threads that are on the 1st page and it should be all good. Good luck if you stay around.

One quick rule I tend to live by:
If it's not my house, it's not my rules. We share the site as a community, but the site itself has been around long enough to have proven successful with the rules it currently has in place.
Give it time and your post count will rise accordingly. Between a few sections alone you have enough to comment on and reply to, which will have your count through the ceiling.
Good luck and hang in there!

The 50 post requirement is actually fairly low. I hate to say it but right now you sound like a person who just cares about reaching the requirement, selling off the collection (won't have to pay ebay fees), then leaving the board. I don't know if that's true or not. I'm sure we all posted a spamish or trollish comment but not 50 times in a row.

all this over wanting to sell some RAs? you're better off: 1) going through craigslist. sure, there's tons of flakey creepy wierdos on there, but at least you won't have to pay shipping on a big box of plastic. 2) storing them. no one's really looking for RA collections right now. well, no ones really looking to pay for RA collecions right now. 3) donate them - or at least all but the more valuable/personal faves. with all craziness here on the east coast i'm sure there are tons of kids who'd love to get some toys that aren't covered in stinky mud.
but if you really want to try to sell the figs, be patient and get to 50 posts. rules are rules. there are tons of boards on here. given, i don't think that all of them count towards the post-count, but many do. I was in your position a while back, but i joined and went through the motions just like everyone else. Some people can be finicky buyers. WHo can blame them? most of us have been ripped off by someone at some point. i've been ripped three times, but i can honestly say that overall, i've had a good experience trading and selling through WFIGs.
Ringside does us a favor by running the boards. their customer service has always been stellar, and lately i feel like they've ramped up the features of the site (loving all the insider vids and contests!). Sure, prices may not be at or below retail on harder-to-find or more-sought-after figures, but thems the brakes, kids.

First off, while RSC is affiliated with WFigs, RSC isn't the one deleting your posts and giving you a warning bar, so don't take it out on them. Second, each board has a Mod/Mods, which are posted right on the main page under each board, so they are not "hiding" and "mysteriously" deleting your posts. What's spam to you and what's spam to the Mods/people who run the boards is different, and you'll have to accept that if you want things to run smoothly, you can't just make up your own rules. And like everyone said, 50 posts is pretty easy to get to without bumping old threads. The fact that you STATED you were only posting to get 50 posts for classified also doesn't help your case.

Sounds like the action taken was appropriate. You did exactly what they thought you were doing and took reasonable action against you. This is a private site and the Classified board serves the site's community. I.e., not you. 50 posts is a very low bar for participation in a private classified board. Your impatience and self-importance was thwarted by the mods. As it should have been. Given your indignation at receiving such a minor punishment, I wouldn't complain a bit if you got slapped with a "Possible Bad Trader" tag. You were told to follow the rules for participation on the Classified Board, and instead of responding to the Mods directly, took your tantrum public. Personally, I wouldn't trust you given your stated disgust with having to follow fairly minor regulations to participate in the trading community here. If that was too much for you, why should anyone trust you? Because you say you should be trusted? Well, your actions suggest otherwise.

To be fair it seemed he wasn't posting on old topics from weeks ago, but I did notice he seemed to post one every topic from page 1 and 2. Which as soon as I saw that, figured he was trying to get to 50 posts. Funny thing is, with all the different categories on this forum, from wrestling talk, to entertainment talk, to the wrestling figures section, you can easily reach 50 posts in a few days without having to spam on one section of the boards.

Just don't bump the old threads... Sorry bro, but if you just post in the different sections pretty often, you can get to 50 posts in a day or two. Lounge, Entertainment, Customs, Custom Accessories, Mattel, Jakks, Pro Wrestling. You'll be all right.

The thing is, the longer time you spend on the boards, the more refs you will attain. I have 4,000+ posts and 91 refs. So to answer your question, someone with that many posts IS more trustworthy than someone with 0 posts. So buck up, read, make some legit posts, do your time, and when you hit 50 (which can take 4-7 days if you do it right) then you can trade/sell.
