As everyone knows by now, The Rock will be returning to WWE at the Survivor Series pay-per-view. According to sources, he won’t be wrestling at the event. As of now, he's expected to deliver a promo and get physically involved with John Cena.
The build to WrestleMania 28 will be in full effect after Survivor Series and The Rock will likely appear at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber pay-per-views.
There has been talk of doing a best-of-three series between The Rock and John Cena to solve the problem of who wins the WrestleMania main event. It’s talk right now but if it happens, Rock and Cena would wrestle at WrestleMania, the following pay-per-view and then a third time at SummerSlam 2012.

I would hate for this to happen. The reason the match is so hyped is because it's special, it's a one time thing. Rock/Hogan II wasn't the same and neither would Rock/Cena. I hope it's one match and one match only.

Id prefer them to fight at wm, summerslam, and sseries
Itll probably end up with
WM - Rock Wins ER - Cena Wins SS - Cena Wins

that. Cena needs to win at Mania and then no more.

That's what I was saying in the other thread. What's the fallout gonna be if Cena wins, or if Rock wins. I think we need to have a best of 3 matches. It would suck if monday night came and all we got was Cena saying whether he won or lost and blah blah blah. There needs to be a definitive conclusion.

This doesn't sound believable at all.

Singles match at Mania with Rock winning... Street Fight at Extreme Rules with Cena winning... Cage match at Summerslam with Cena winning.

I just dont see how WWE puts Rock over on Cena at Mania. Its Rocks return. Its Rocks home town. Its WM in a high profile match. Odds are stacked against Cena.
And what happens when the odds are stacked against Cena?! HE OVERCOMES them. On top of that, Cena is a full time member of your roster and the face of your company. As much as I love The Rock.....it makes no business sense to put him over.

I hate when they have a million rematches after WrestleMania and it makes the WrestleMania matches mean nothing.
"Congratulations, I want my rematch."

I wouldn't mind that to happen.
At least have a rematch at SummerSlam where the loser of the WM match wins.
And they could maybe tease a WM 29 match again since they seem to like big name WM rematches in recent years [HBK/Taker and HHH/Taker].
They each could win a WM match too so if Rock wins in Miami Cena will win the final one wherever WM 29 takes place.

You can't tell me that wouldn't be good for business.

Nah, I do not like the sound of that, should be a one time only thing, no rematches, make it mean something.

You can't tell me that wouldn't be good for business. It may be good for bringing in money but it certainly wouldn't be good for the actual wrestling product. The man hasn't wrestled in 8 years (or it will be 8 by the time he wrestles again). There is zero reason for him to have the title. He should not beat Cena especially not at WrestleMania. One of the biggest reasons for him not having the title is because he would only stick around for a few months and end up passing it right back to Cena. Imagine if Hogan/Rock at WrestleMania was for the title and Hogan won. The outrage would have been huge and rightly justified.

You can't tell me that wouldn't be good for business. lol the guy wouldn't be able to appear on WWE for consecutive weeks due to his schedule, there would be absolutely no point giving him a title reign. There would absolutely be no point of making his match with Cena a title match either.

As much as I love The Rock.....it makes no business sense to put him over. CM Punk's last match in CM Punk's hometown in a WWE Title match where (prior to that event) CM Punk was leaving the company. CM Punk won. Cena doesn't always overcome the odds when they are stacked against him. Same with when Cena had to join the Nexus, that match had the odds stacked against him too. Rock can easily stick around and bring huge money into the company especially after beating Cena at Mania.
