How far does Cyclops' laser vision go for? I've always wondered that, and couldn't find anything about it.

I believe I read somewhere one time that he can make his laser beams as small as a pin or as big as a football stadium if he wanted. I can't remember exactly where I read that, but I want to say it was from X-Men: The Ultimate Guide.

It doesn't specify a length, but it is noted in Ultimate X-Men that if he were to take off his glasses and shoot straight into space, the blast would dissipate before leaving the atmosphere.
