Topps has begun selling the 2016 Undisputed Wall Art on their website. If you click here you can get a sneak preview of the set & see what the base cards & insert sets will look like.
I'm always tempted to buy one because I think it would be cool to display signed. Is it possible to sign metal art though? If so, with what? Yes, you can easily sign them with a regular sharpie or metallic/paint marker. They're not completely smooth or glossy, so it will hold some ink.

if anyone is interested Dave & Adams is doing a 20 spot case break of Undisputed So it looks like its $82 and you get 1/20th of the break which would be 80 packs/20 people = 4 packs per person? But apparently you can send in "picks" or something. I'm not really convinced about this... Or exactly how it works.

They open everything and list all the hits, parallel, etc. They do a randomizer of the 20 people. Then they have each person send the back the list and the order they want things. It's a snake draft 1-20, then 20-1, etc. They give you a few days before the draft to get your list in order. You can also attend the draft in person and draft live when it's your turn. Pretty much same as buying 4 packs, but you have some say in what you are getting. It's on their website under live breaks. I've done them before and it's kind of fun.

Would you recommend trying it out? And how time sensitive is the drafting?

Personally, i like the draft. i would only buy about 4 packs anyway, so this way i have some of say in what i would get. an open case gives you 80 hits (auto/relic), not to mention the chance at the printing plates, books, etc. last time i did one they gave us 3 days to get our lists organized and emailed in, then did the live draft. I'd assume with this they would open the case as soon as they get it, its just a matter of the break selling out. They hold it until all spots are full. No local store around me sells hobby packs, let alone undisputed. To each his own i guess. you can go on youtube and search their old casebreaks. they have a few wrestling ones to watch. that way you could see it in action.

Like Silva, I don't really buy anything at retail unless I feel there's a hit. But autographs aren't easy to feel, if at all.

Wow, you may have convinced me to give it a try. I don't want to invest in a complete box this time around (I bought 2 of the first Undisputed set), but this is a lot cheaper and I would still have an extra hundred dollars to get any other hits elsewhere. Are you participating in this case break?

Dumb question, but what's the best way to search? Do you feel the front or back? Do you look for anything? For relics, since they're so much thicker and sturdier, you can flex the packs and if one is noticeably less flexible, there is probably a relic in it. The only caveat is that cardboard stock cards like the recent Heritage lines are already so sturdy that you can't flex any of the packs.

card searchers are scum. that is all. If you are only doing it to sell and profit, then yes. But if you know how the packs are designed and use it to your advantage, I don't see much wrong with it. But as long as you're not scalping regions of stores and listing hits on eBay to supplement your income, then it's just the nature of the hobby.

What happens if they don't sell all the spots? Are the least favorable hits just kept by the store? Or does the store act as a "buyer" and keep their preferences in the fair and random order?
