My grandpa frank went to Funko HQ last month for me and got a braun pop signed for me, he was coming over here this week so he just brought it to me instead of mailing it this time. I sent him a paint pen this time so It’s not signed in sharpie like the last ones he got for me. The auto looks a lot better in person. Not sure why it looks so bad in the pic.

To me, it seems like the tip of the pen wasn't prepped properly. I've seen paint pens come out like that when they're not prepped properly. This is because if the paint pen has been sitting around for a while, the paint at the tip won't be even. That's at least the case with Sharpie ones. I haven't tried any other brands. If you have paint pens sitting around, take a look at it and you'll see that part of the pen's tip is a darker hue, while the other part of the tip is the colour it should be. To fix this or to prevent this from happening, before you get the figure/pop signed, pump the tip on a surface several times such that the paint is evenly distributed. Shake the pen several times as well. Hope that makes sense.

I know to compress the tip and everything but I had my grandpa get it signed for me and I mailed him the pen so I’m guessing he didn’t follow my instructions close enough cause I was dickin around with the pen earlier to see if it was ed or if he did something wrong and pressed down the tip then put down a line on a price of plastic I had laying around and it looked how it should. So that’s what the problem was. Oh well. The signing was free and he bought the pop there and told me not to worry about paying him back so it’s no biggie. Next time I have him go to a signing for me I’ll be more specific and tell him to press the tip down on something right before the signing so this won’t happen again.

Surprised Braun didn't test it out first. I usually prep my pens before I hand them over, and pretty much everyone still tries them out on a tablecloth of piece of paper before signing with it.

I always make sure they work though so I never worry about it. It’s actually kinda funny if you look at me and my parents wrestlecon wristbands from last year you can tell which is mine cause it’s covered in little marks from me testing my paint pens. Lol

Yesterday I attended the Alexa Bliss appearance at Friendly Neighborhood Comics in Bellingham, MA. $20 got you into the signing and 2 comic books. She would sign whatever you brought, it didn't have to be one of the comics. I really liked the "two titles" cover so I had her sign that and an 8x10 I brought. She would also pose for pictures. The turnout was so large, she didn't have time to sign for everyone in the 2 hours she was there(3pm-5pm). I got there at 11:30 and there were already 80 or so people in line. The 4 hours in line was a good warm-up for the hell that will be Axxess next week.

Would anybody really spend 500 bucks for a 1/1 Mat card for taker or Bryan? Like sometimes they have a 1/1 baseball player signed for 4000 bucks and it sells out in seconds. Like who has this kind of money.

Like who has this kind of money. I always wonder that, too. Like there are Facebook groups where people show off their collections and they have so many triple/quad autos and 1/1's, etc. I guess either people are trust-fund babies (unlikely) or have very poor money management/in loads of debt. I could understand more if the Now relics are signed, but they aren't. It's weird, I can understand wanting a nice collection, and I think mine is decent, but I couldn't justify spending so much so frequently. And the Slam app is 100x worse...

And the Slam app is 100x worse... yeah what some people pay for a card is insane. Most I’ve ever paid for a card was my Alexa autographed kiss card which I paid $130 for but I’ve seen cards go for like $1500-2000 like what the ? Honestly $200 Would be the most I’d ever pay for a card unless it was something insane that I couldn’t pass up like a wrestlemania 7 macho man relic with a piece of his jacket and hat or some crazy crap like that that they’d never make. I do however try to get all the topps now cards. I started with payback last year. I’ve missed a couple ppvs (cause I forgot about them) but have most of them. I think they’re pretty cool considering they only print how ever many are ordered of each card.
