Personally, I don't think it feels anything like Bad Company 2. When I can actually get in to a game, it's a lot of fun. I've seen some people trashing the graphics on console, which is ridiculous.

Played the demo on Xbox, felt a lot like Bad Company 2, which was okay to me, far from great. I'm pretty disappointed with the graphics in the beta, I thought this game was supposed to look super awesome. This is far from a COD killer, which has smoother gameplay and appeals to a larger audience.
I can't even see who's killing me most of the time in these Battlefield games. Lots of run, run, run, get shot, die. Some people might love it, but it's not for me.

It's been available since 5 AM. It feels just like Bad Company 2 which isn't bad but just like with Call of Duty and every other yearly release game, charging $60 is outrageous. I agree it feels like BC2 as far as gunplay but i think the way you move around is a lot smoother, and being able to go full prone helps me out a lot in this game. Just from the operation metro map, i think the whole layout is different from BC2, i doubt all maps are like metro but it feels very close quarters and i think maybe they did that to win over COD fans for the beta. And its fine, COD is known for close quarters which some people love, and BF is known for giant maps, and now COD will probably still be known for close quarters, and BF3 will be known for having both. I think it feels new enough to me to be worth the $60 price tag, the only thing that is exactly the same as BC2 is the controls. Movement, graphics, and level progression havent completely changed but they've definitely improved every aspect of the game in some way, even if its not a gigantic change. Thats the way it should be to me. I will try MW3 but its basically going to be a gigantic map pack for the series, gun play, movement, and weapon progression will all be exactly the same. I won't lie either, I'm a BF3 fan boy but i try both every year.

I've played quite a few games on the beta now and honestly this is not a game I can get into. As a person who hates Call of Duty I have to say I'de rather be playing Call of Duty than this.

I don't know why so many of you are bitching about this game. I love it. I came in with low expectations but god damn I'm enjoying the beta. I'm level 11, I would probably be higher but I keep lagging out of games.

Downloaded this last night and played a couple of rounds and I can't say I'm a big fan of it. I mean, I liked Bad Company 2 but this game just feels weird for some reason, hopefully they'll change some things around when the full game is released but for now I can't see myself buying it.

Was thinking of downloading the Beta today for the 360, haven't really played the Battlefield series but I do like the look of this one.

I'm downloading the beta now. But my game list doesn't have this on it. I want Saint's Row the Third, WWE 12, MW3, Arkham City. Worth a try though.

I don't know why people are bitching about the graphics. It still looks better than 90% of the games on the 360.

I had a lot of fun with it, still haven't decided if I'll pick it up on release though. It all depends on if I can get a decent-sized group of (competent) friends to form a squad. I thoroughly enjoy when games require you to work as a team to win. MAG was the first FPS I'd ever really played online and loved. The whole ADHD run-and-gun of Black Ops has never really sat well with me. The gameplay is much smoother and more polished than anything else I've really played though, plus all my buddies play it. It's more fun when you have buddies to chat with in-game.

some changes coming to battlefield 3 due to player feedback (not sure if this includes beta
Fixed occasional client crash when reviving. Fixed killcam showing glitched area under map if your killer is dead. Issue with spawning on dead squad mates fixed. Fixed a bug where shooting at a moving enemy could cause more than the intended amount of damage. Crosshairs for shotguns have been replaced with a new, thinner, art. A subtle low health screen effect has been added. Tweaked scores of Medals and Service Stars. Tweaked the Rank progression. Pushing prone on console will not play the animation twice. Fixed loss of Squad Leader after EOR at some times. Framerate stability fixes. The 3D spotting icons has been tweaked to better match the target’s visibility. Icons will show frequently less on mostly obscured targets. Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after round transition. Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after trying to deploy while the countdown timer still active. Squad list now shows specializations chosen, VOIP activity and dead squad mates. Non working options in squad menu fixed: “Private” flag and “Switch Teams”.

Why do people think the people who dislike the beta are bitching? I was super disappointed with it, I was sure it was going to destroy Call Of Duty but its not even as good as BC2 to me. That doesn't mean I'm bitching about it, different strokes for different folks is all.

This is gonna be my first Battlefield game I played. I dled the beta but haven't touched it yet.
Is CoD easier to play? If so, how?
I'm more of a casual shooter, but I like that this seems to have more emphasis on tactics.

I can't give you a specific reason, because there are loads of things that irked me about it. The community (I Play 360) or rather my teammate were 99.9% of the time, idiots while the other team would just completely destroy us. All my teammates could do was either stand in front of me pointing a flashlight in my eyes or destroying the cover I was behind while defending MCOMS. I was the MVP each time for my team with the exception of my friend who had joined in the last game. I think that may be just a console specific problem though, because the same friend had early access to the beta on PS3 and he was talking about how much fun it was, and when I told him I hated it he got pissed at me and downloaded it for xbox, only to agree with me after 1 round. The second thing is a common problem in all fps games, it takes 100 shots to kill somebody but they kill you in 1 shot. It was literally going on the whole time and it ruined it for me. Then there's the destructibility, which was virtually non-existent but that could be because this is a beta. And then loads of smaller things which hopefully they'll have fixed by the times its released, mainly not being able to be in the same squad with a friend. But don't mistake this for being angry because I'm not, I'm just sad it didn't live up to my expectations. I'm glad most of you guys enjoy it.
