I usually only do pre-orders for mattel elite/legends/dms depending on how much and who it is, and it's figures I really really want, otherwise I would just wait for retail or the major online stores to get them. Sometimes its just easier to pay the RSC prices then the money/time I would spend on gas tracking these figs down in retail in my area, plus you get the figures a month or 2 earlier than retail release.
Wow.....ordering monthly at 12 x's a year is alot...let alone multiple times a month. I would say I order anywhere from 4 to 6 x's a year on average, usually when they post up their pre-orders for Mattel elites/legends/dm's

for two reasons
1)only if I REALLY have to.their prices are beyond ridiculous and their shipping charges are unreal.
2)if its something I cant get in Ireland and must have straight away.IE USA Sting,DM Austin etc etc.

Did it a couple of times to order some Exclusives from them, but now no longer as they refused to solve a problem I had with them (their fault).
Seems that their custumer relationship deals differently (read; easier) with American customers then customers overseas!

Very seldom.
The international shipping is a killer. Only when i go to the US, do i get them to send to my hotel.
Besides whatever they sell will end up on toys r us.com or mattel shop.com or at retail.
I don't see why i have to pay a HUGE premium to be the first to get a figure when it will be available everywhere later.

(First post, go easy on me) Even though it wasn't an option, I'd say whenever I want something and have the money to buy it. My last orders were E11 and E12.

its funny my mom used to order from them back in 96-98 two of every BCA series .. one for me to play with and one ofr my crazy moc collection ( which payed for a terrible mistake i made in college! )
the prices were always higher than retail, and i was happy to have every figure before every1 else.. that was when the owner Jon would actually answer the phone...
they are still in business and AWESOME!! there are many more sites out there that i would claim rip people off w/ their prices, RingSide prices are always understandable.. i would do the same.
i only buy legends to display on my desk, every order came UBER - FAST.. no box was ever bent, sales are good, and the secret "scratch & dent" area can have a gem pop up every now & gain !! ( when tom doesnt take it for his nephew first)
most smaller businesses always have you ship item back to them first... thats normal. especially when it is a small claim like the torso is stiff!!.... this anti- ringside thread is not cool.. HECK, without RINGSIDE COLLECTIBLES... this whole life ( we share ) as collectors would STINK. there is no other store that does what RINGSIDE DOES....
you all do know, that every other month.. TOM and crew charter a fishin boat and skeet their way off to far seas riskin life and limb battling diseases and wild animals in the jungle just to get us new figures MONTHSSS before out TEE ARE YOU can mess them up!...thanks brother TOM.

I have yet to order from Ringside, I always try to avoid Internet stores, I usually wait for a store near me to get all the exclusives and new figures.

I would like to say something in defense of RSC's "higher prices." The reason RSC has higher prices is because they have to pay higher shipping fees to get the product in their hands before retailers. Part of that price is additional shipping charges. RSC has even said this.
There were times (2008 -2009) when TRU or KB were only getting one or two boxes (sometimes none at all) of CS figures. Thus by the time I've gotten a chance to stop by I have missed most of them (I'm a completion-ist). KB was awesome I will say because I was on good terms with the staff and manager. They knew I buy whole sets and they'd set the box aside in the back for me and give me a call. Always like to help local economy.
Thus sometimes it was easier to buy them online at RSC, pay a little more, save time, save gas, and peace of mind. Plus I knew RSC would deliver them in MINT shape! I've order 30 - 40 times maybe in the course of 8 years and only had 2 or 3 damaged items, which were easily replaced by RSC.

I wouldn't say "never" - usually the only time I order from RSC is if they have an exclusive. I prefer to do my figure hunting in stores.
In other words, keep those Legends exclusives coming, RSC!

Only when it's something I don't want to wait for or that I don't want to have to try and find. E11 Punk was a perfect example of this for me. I will do the same if Rhodes or Ziggler get a new Elite soon. I would say like once every 3 months or so maybe?

I used to order a lot from them when Jakks had the license because most of the local stores did not keep up very well. The only Mattel item I've ordered from them is the Mysterio exclusive. I have found every Mattel figure at retail (except series 9 Natalya which I got on Amazon for just a little above retail price) usually a month or so after RSC gets them in. I don't see the point in paying 2 or 3 times the retail price just to get it a few weeks early.
