I'm very interested in doing this, a couple of questions; I don't have a spare CM Punk body, would a Ted DiBiase body work? How did paint in like, the trunks part of the body where the thighs come out? Do the thighs pop off? I think dibiase wouldn't work cause he's a darker pink but I could be wrong but Rhodes torso would work but you need the kicker legs. Jericho would work. The thighs do pop out but the top portion in the trunks need to be covered to paint the inside of the trunks. I recommend you don't try to take the trunks apart as it's so well glued you will end up destroying it, believe me I've done it. All right. Can anyone else confirm that the skin tones for elite DiBiase and basic Daniel wouldn't match? I'm sorry, could you please elaborate further on what you mean by the trunks needing to be covered? So, you need to split the torso to paint the trunks?

All right. Can anyone else confirm that the skin tones for elite DiBiase and basic Daniel wouldn't match? Sorry for the late post…DiBiase is not a match, he is more of a darker pink. I would recommend using an elite Chris Jericho, he matches & has everything you will need to make Daniel Bryan. I used CM Punk because that was the only figure I had available at the time. I'm sorry, could you please elaborate further on what you mean by the trunks needing to be covered? So, you need to split the torso to paint the trunks? Yes. The area I was referring to is the upper leg area where the tooth pick is pointing as shown below, this needs to be covered so you don't paint this as well. I used Glad cling wrap & taped the end of the wrap so it would not come undone. You will need to split the chest & abs/waist area, here's how; Microwave water for 3 minutes, dip the figure in, let it rest in there for a minute then use a flat screw driver behind the shoulders to pop the chest off (Thanks Apocalypse) BE VERY… VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BURN YOURSELF AS THE WATER IS EXTREMELY HOT! Use a hand towel to catch any retaining water within the figure. To do the bottom portion you will need an xacto knife that is shaped like a square, This area needs to be super hot so the knife can cut through easily. (Follow the safety precautions above for this step also) Insert it in the small gap at the top of the upper waist & push down slowly. Inside the center of this there is a plastic rod that you must cut to break it free, don't worry if it's not centered, you can glue it back together easily. I hope this helps.

Really wish this was the figure we were getting. Give us a classic American Dragon (with robe) THEN give us his current look. Plus they need to paint his hair right, he's not a ginger Ta-da!

Did you use a mix, or basic paint color to do his hair? Looks really good, and is vastly superior to what Mattel produced.

I made a mix, Flat Tan with a tiny amount of black, then a dry brush top coat of tan.

Good job on this. His hair actually will be closer to this color on future production figures. ( I think there is one more coming with reddish hair before this change is made which is too late to change)

I don't think it gets any better than this.

After being pretty much spent on customs, you've brought about something I would certainly want to have. Nice job. Love the pic just standing in front of the ladder That and the custom Elite '96-'97 HBK someone did were stellar, The HBK looked like it could have been an official release it was that good.

That looks much better. Also just so you know Apple Barrel has a paint called Carmel Candy that is pretty mich that shade also...so you don't have to mix the next time.
