Which Night of the Living Dead would you suggest? The original black and white, colored or the remake?

The 1990 remake of NOTLD is honestly my favorite zombie movie

I can't believe I've never seen the 1990 remake! I own it on VHS and actually have a VCR to watch it on still. Maybe I'll throw it on tonight.
In my opinion, you can't go wrong with the Romero classic. Then again, I can't recall ever seeing a really horrible zombie movie. Zombieland is one of my favs.

I may be the only one, but I hated the Nightmare remake. I am glad that a sequel isn't happening....

I am a writer indeed. Not sure how free my schedule is. Currently writing for 3 sites at the moment, but depending on what you want I could try and help out. Just looking for someone to pop an article up once or twice per week that is dependable. Can post more if willing. Reviews (movies, horror video games, books, merchandise etc), editorial/opinion pieces, humor pieces. Stuff like that. May add 1-3 people if the right people apply. I'm assuming it will have to be horror related right? I'd like to push myself to do a little more horror covering. It could work!

Primarily horror though we have stepped out of that line a time or two. I love original columns too. You're in if you want it since I've known you for a while

You're in if you want it since I've known you for a while Let me get back to you sometime this weekend. I'm going to try and think of some horror concepts that I could run with for awhile. Don't want to start out strong and run out of ideas to write about. Seeing The Thing prequel tonight. Not really looking forward to it. I will post my thoughts afterwards.

I always fill in the blanks with reviews when I can't think of anything. lol. I rarely get the chance to go to the theaters to catch the latest films since I have a kid now. So if you happen to keep up with the latest theatrical horror that would be a big help as well.

That could be a possibility. I'm on the press lists here in the MN area so I see literally every new release, usually before release date. Sometimes it rocks, but it can also suck when you sit through week after week of pure crap.

Ok guys, I am here to tell you the news! The Thing prequel is........... not that bad!
Aside from the several shoddy CGI moments and the handful of rehash scenes lifted from the Carpenter version, The Thing still works as its own "thing". The tension is great. I really enjoyed the mysterious build up and I thought that it nailed that perfectly from the previous films.
The tone is in the right place, from set design to music. Everything feels like a film from the 80's /90's. Hell, the opening Universal Studios logo was the old school logo from a past time. I enjoyed the creature effects and I understood why they used CGI when they did. Some shots just had to have it I guess, but luckily for us there are a few scenes that are all practical.
This version gives us a better look at the "thing" before it takes another shape. Make sure to stay through the ending credits as it unfolds the story a little more up until the Carpenter version.
Not a great film, but not a horrible one.

If need be I'd review really cheesy/crapty/old/classic horror films...in the vain of the critters series(which started out classic and immediately became crapty) etc...

Just on facebook, and i liked bloody disgustings page a while back, because im a fan on horror films. So they just showed a picture of a film that has been banned here in the UK, so i clicked the link, thinking lets see if its as bad as HC2.....so i watched the trailer....i really REALLY wish i didn't. How can someone make a film like that? Yeah i know people are going to be like you like human centipede how can anything shock you blah blah blah, but seriously THAT certain film is where i draw the ing line. That is way too close to reality, things like that actually happen all the time lol. I wanted to see HC2 because i liked the 1st one and wanted to see how sick it go in the sequel. But this certain film, yeah i can't watch it. I can't put the name of it because i will be banned lol.

Picked up some horror Blu-Rays today. Halloween, Halloween II and Dawn of the Dead, all originals. Trying to buy a ton for the month to watch in the coming weeks. If only I could find Trick r Treat.
