The Legends & Flashbacks are my favorite 2 lines Mattel have and was saddened about the lack of sales leading to the Legends line downsize. But the Legends line continues and even though I'd love to see more a year the inclusion of Flashbacks weakened the blow. Every Legend planned/produced has now become that much more important to me and probebly alot of collectors so when they release someone who may never get a Mattel figure again they need to get it right. For we the collectors and for the saftey of the Legends line. DDP....has just recently been shown and there have been alot of underwhelmed/unhappy people with the proto shown. Everything looks great untill you get to the head sculpt which is the problem aswell as the paint imo. What do you think is the best course of action from Mattel? On a bussiness standpoint is it best to leave as is?Should they redo the head or paint or both? How much do you think this bad head sculpt will effect sales?Do you think it could end up being the finishing punch to the Legends line?Personally I would like them to swop him back to someones later spot on the Matty release and totally redo the headsculpt and make changes to the paint for the hair. Ive heard from multipule collectors who have said they after seeing the head will not be purchasing or will be purchasing alot less DDP's. I am really exicted for most every Legend annoched and as a collector will collect but I want them to be right and look like the wrestler they supposed to be. Please Mattel make DDP right!DDP

I saw the proto in person and I didn't think it looked so bad. And I remember DDP being really happy with it. I'm just happy we didn't get the WWE version.

Mattel stuff always looks weird in the photos, then when you get it in person it's great.

If I were interested in this figure I'm not anymore, disappointing face for sure, but if DDP and Mattel are happy with it, I can't see them changing it sadly. Maybe the sales will tell them.

It's too late to change anything I bet.

I would think its too late to do any major changes. The scan isn't great but in person it doesnt look as bad. Either way its a DDP and I will def be getting it.

All comes down to price for me. As was the case when Legends on Matty was first announced. The head is pretty terrible, however, that's the exact attire I wanted. I'm in two minds as to whether I want it personally.

In the end, it depends on how this figure looks in person. A lot of Mattel's scans are that way. Savage was one that I thought was better in person than in the original proto pics. Same goes for Warrior. I'm just happy it's a WCW DDP instead of the short-haired Invasion DDP.

I'm not buying it but I prob wouldn't have anyway, maybe if it looked really good I would have. Anyways, mattel doesn't handle criticism too well, they seem a little sensitive about those things so I doubt anything would change

I'll buy it, in hopes we get a better DDP down the line.

I was all hyped for this figure--one of the only new Legends I was interested in--but I am not at all impressed with the prototype. I'd love to see them push the figure back and make it look more like the DDP I remember. I'm gonna have to pass if it doesn't change.

I'm sure it will be fine once we have it in our hands.

I voted DDP only in that poll, very tired of the same "golden age" people getting made. It's 2011 and a decade ago from now we have WCW and WWF Attitude Era that are the "classics" IMO. Even ECW. So I will try to get it off Matty, if it's possible. It may very will have a cool accessory. WCW World title for instance. They can't say the don't own the rights, cause WWE uses the near exact design currently.

It's hard to tell from that one photo alone. Due to the negative feedback, it might be in Mattel's best interest to release a better quality studio picture. It's hard to tell from the one picture that I've seen. Mattel tends to look a lot better in person under good lighting. However, I felt the same way about the Alex Riley figure when I first saw it, and can understand everyone's frustration. DDP is one that I will definitely be getting as I'm an old school WCW fan.

I actually thought the figure looked amazing. DDP wasn't a top want, but I think they did a great job on him.

When i saw that DDP photo, I seriously that it was a flash back jericho!!lol it resembles the elite jericho head scan but with longer hair. I hope when it comes to being released it will look better.

If they remake, I prefer short hair DDP.
