IMO, there are rare instances where he's bearable, but, for the most part, I can't stand him now. My reaction every time he speaks: "Shut up, allready, Cole!"

on one hand i know Cole is just playing the part, and playing it well. on the other, he plays it so well i am legitimately annoyed by him 90% of the time.
especially when "my boy DBryan" is on TV...it's hard enough for WWE superstars to get over with the fans...it doesn't help when you have a guy on commentary bashing him during every match, and nothing gets done about it. it legitimately hurts his character (Bryan)

'RAW's not gonna get rocked, it's gonna get.... COLED!!!' *another awkward silence at the announcer's table*
I like him for about 30 seconds per show. Then he grates away at me.

And I quote every WWE fan around the world "Michael Cole You Suck" But....MICHAEL COLE....is great. I agree, I love Cole, don't know why this guy thinks he can speak for all of us.

Wait what, how can everyone not love the one guy keeping "X-pac heat" alive???
Seriously, Cole is terrible, at everything. He will verbally bury talent to put over himself. His character died down a little bit, which was great, but recently he is right back to me needing to have one finger on mute. Someone who takes away from the entertainment value of a show is not good at what they do imo.
If I could pick one person on the roster to never see on TV again, it would be Michael Cole. I like WWE having a heel commentator, and I think King is so bad that they need something at this point, but Cole isn't the answer. It's a shame they can't make Striker a heel commentator or take a wrestler that is doing nothing and make him an awesome heel commentator. CM Punk is seriously the best color guy we have seen at that table since King was actually good imo.

He should leave and take Jerry Lawler with him.

He should leave and take Jerry Lawler with him. This would be fine with me. JR could call shows himself no problem.

LOL he is not a good heel. He is a pointless character that gets shoved down the viewer's throat for literally every second of a two hour Monday Night Raw show. This has been going on for over a year now and it has led absolutely nowhere. I don't want to see someone beat Cole in a match, I want him off my television screen forever.

I love Cole. I think his sarcastic remarks are hilarious. He's better when he's with Booker as they two have decent chemistry. I'm probably one of the few who wants him to stay on commentary for a while yet. Have him only commentate on Smackdown and have J.R take his spot. Simple. Because like you said they work well with each other and have a good laugh. All Cole does on Raw is talk about how fat J.R is and his 'Challenge'

I'm sorry but if Vickie Guerrero is a 'great heel' then so is Michael Cole.
In my opinion however, neither of them are; Cole takes away from the show by chatting bollocks all over it, he only started getting boos because he kept interrupting RAW with 'Can I have your attention please?'. People don't stop booing Vickie Guerrero until she stops saying 'Excuse me!', they just don't wanna hear what she has to say. Other than screeching and scrating, she does nothing.

The only time Cole takes away from the talent is on Raw. Any negative Cole issues I blame him having a terrible person to play off of in Lawler. Smackdown commentary is dynamite lately (despite Josh Matthews who unfortunately is stuck in the 'being fed' position).

'RAW's not gonna get rocked, it's gonna get.... COLED!!!' I'm not going to lie.. when he said this I laughed out loud. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. That said, I don't mind Cole. I think he adds to the product at times but at other times he takes away from it. But as someone noted, he's literally on air for almost every second of the 2+ hour broadcast.. so it's kind of an overdose. I definitely think he would be best utilised as an actual character (manager for someone) and he could make a habit out of calling this particular person's matches. Cole's heat IS immense, and it could help another person get over, particularly if Cole is on the headset to blurt his praises every time he wrestles. As for Cole and Vickie, while I agree that none of them are talented (wrestling-wise, obviously), I do believe they are both relatively intelligent people who know how to make the best out of the character they are given (as indicated by the heat they both have). Sometimes, though, as I said - Cole overdoes it and becomes annoying or even taints the product.

Do you know how Family Guy does one of those really long jokes? That are over kill, but because it's overkill it makes it even more funnier?
Michael Cole is like that, but with out the funny part.
