I've been collecting WWE, Mattel since its launch like most of you on here and had built up a very large collection combining Elites & Basics and having them both loose and MOC. I have tried to stop collecting 4 times now as this addictive hobby just becomes way too expensive and being a completest with the Elite line it would often get extremely hard to track them all down. Recently I had to sell everything loose and MOC again as I decided to get together with a couple of friends and plan a trip to Miami for Wrestlemania 28!! Unfortunately the figures were an easy way to raise money and most of them were sold off leaving me with a very small collection. I knew I would start up again at some point as it is pretty much impossible for me to pass up a great figure if I see it, but the important thing was to pay off all fees so I wouldn't have that hanging over my head while I was buying figures. Now everything is fine and rather than being a completest I just get the figures I want.
WWE Raw were at the London O2 Arena on Friday and I had managed to get a last minute ticket which was cool and the seat wasn't bad at all either which was ringside row c. On the way there I had a quick look in a local supermarket as I needed to pick up an Elite 9 Luke Gallows which I had seen in there previously for a deal with a member on here (wyleecyotee) -
A friend I was meeting at the show had also picked up a figure for me that he had seen and knew I needed it so that was pretty awesome of him. The superstar was no other than... Long Island Iced Z!... Zack Ryder
The next day CM Punk was doing a signing at Harrods so I knew I couldn't miss it and would give me a chance to get my RSC Masked Exclusive signed -
All I can say about Mr.Punk is what a great guy! very welcoming and seemed to appreciate all of us that were sporting his shirts (and wrist straps ;D) I'm so pleased I got the exclusive signed too as a little while back a few of us on the boards really wanted this figure released, it was put out on display by mistake and we made a fuss about how much we wanted it which seemed to help in getting it released as an exclusive, so it was a MUST to get signed.
To get a ticket to the signing we had to buy something from the WWE merchandise they had on sale. They had Basic series 13 including 1 Vickie Guerrero which my buddy grabbed. There were a few Zeke's so I picked up one of those, I don't have a use for it but I figured somebody on here might need it, I paid £12.95 so I would just be looking to get that back plus shipping. It will be listed in the classifieds tonight -
So after the signing I decided to head to Toys R Us, they had a few things in but nothing too special, 2 Packs 7, Wrestlemania 27 - Undertaker & Kofi as well as Best of Elite 2011. I was looking for a WM27 Stone Cold for my pal on here but they didn't have any. I ended up going with this -
After a somewhat successful trip I decided to head home and to my surprise I had 2 packages in the mail that my Dad had put in my room.
The first one was something my Mum had ordered me as a gift as I was having a bad week health wise, I suffer with Ulcerative Colitis and have become steroid dependant, on some days it hits me pretty bad so it was a nice little surprise -
This next lot are from an ebay seller (Superstriker0) who I cannot recommend enough!!, she has really helped me out with getting certain figures when I haven't been able to get out of the house to find them at retail due to being ill. She gets sets in extremely fast and is a very nice person too.
Cannot wait to open this lot!! -
One of these Vickie's is for a fellow board member (The Coon) who has become a really good friend
