What's some figures that Jakks hit dead on with, but Mattel missed the boat on? Any you guys can think of? Curious to see that ya'll think.

Superfly is the only one I can say.

That popped in my head too, but I can't crucify Mattel for braving a more difficult attire.

Superfly is the only one I can say. That one definitely came to my mind, as well.

Sup... Sup... Super Fly!
But Mattel should re-do Snuka & Red L.O.D. asap!!!
Also Jack Swagger. Mattel has yet to really get his scan down. Hopefully this new upcoming scan proves me wrong.

Superfly is the most prominent that comes to mind, but i'd say Slaughter is up there for me too

I don't think Mattel messed them up but instead tried a different avenue and tried to make themselves stand out.

First off I don't think Jakks nailed either of these 2 figures, but other than Snuka & maybe Sarge I think Mattel's Legends blow Jakks versions out of the water.

None, all of Mattel versions have been better. Just because Sarge and Snuka aren't in attires you like doesn't make them bad.

We have that one, and I am quite confident a barefoot Snuka will appear at some point. If there was extensive new tooling involved to make the more popular versions of Snuka & Sarge...I'd be concerned. There really isn't. Mainly just deco change, and the reuse of parts.

Rick Rude.
Mattels version of him is very plain IMO.Jakks CS and CSDA were both great.
both companies fell down on tights designs though IMO.

Roddy Piper from the Legends 2 pack. That scan totally sucks. Edge also scan wise. I am very pleased with their replication of most attires though

Jakks Vader had the mastodon helmet and a cloth singlet. Vader would sometimes take the straps down so that was a nice touch.
The Mattel version had 2 removable masks because he would sometimes wrestle without them, and a cape which are just as nice details, but different. Also, the quality of the figure was an entire staircase above Jakks morbidly obese body.
I don't think I made a point here.
