six Legends will be released in 2012 on mattycollector.com then every 2 months the Elite Line will have Maybe 1 flashback, hopefully 2.. no more Heritage... no more Defining Moments.. very rare that Rockers will get mattel to green light more Legends 2 packs... there no room for odd figures like the Legion of Doom in outfits they rocked for less than a year... especially when their Uber-Iconic red shoulder pads (WWF90-93) havent been made yet.. i am really upset about the heritage line, i thought that was such a good idea. im sure the eddie & warrior & taker & hunter & cena ( the whole darn wave) will sell well... i was bankin on gettin more legends that way and especially cause i normally prefer basic bodies for some figures... ** Maybe mattel will give us one "flashback" in each Basic SuperStars wave.. Would ne1 else want that.. ..

MachoManiac - did they say why there will not be any more Heritage figures? That is pretty dumb. That's something I was pretty excited about since they were starting to include older figures. What the F.

Mattel won't give us guys in iconic gear (Red L.O.D.) because they want to be different than Jakks, so they gave us guys in obscure gear that have warmed the shelves.

What the F. Their answer was to the effect of: Because the Heritage line was about making current guys in older attires, and now there aren't enough current guys on the roster with Heritage attires -- and the ones that are still there, they've already done. But I don't get what they're saying, anyway... They said the Heritage line wouldn't continue into 2012, but the newer Royal Rumble Heritage and WrestleMania Heritage lines won't be in stores until 2012.

Or fairly obscure guys in general, that still warm the pegs. I still think they cold have capitalized on the Legends line better if they had used more popular wrestlers filling the wave and having only one obscure name to the bunch.

Yeah.....I think Mattel shot themselves in the foot giving us obscure guys and guys in less popular outfits. I think Mattel was trying too hard to be different than Jakks when in reality the Classic Superstars line was one of the only good things Jakks did up until the end and I think that's the reason Jakks was able to keep the line alive for 8 years, and Mattel couldn't keep a Legends line alive for 20 months.

I agree. If they had followed the CS line a little more I think they would have kept it going for much longer. I prefer Mattel's quality over Jakks, and to me that would have been different enough.

That's why I try not to pay attention to those interviews too much anymore. I don't know what to believe. Hence the reason I had no idea the Heritage series was ending.

You said it right, I love Mattel figures but as much as I love them , I hate them too because of the ones who push guys that are not in the most popular costumes that they were in hence Legends death. It's so sad that the legends line was stopped... Please MATTEL READ OUR COMMENTS AND LISTEN TO THE BUYERS OPINION AND SUGGESTIONS...

As amazing and detailed as Mattel's figures are the Mattel interviews suck. They say one thing and then in the next interview they do, they say the complete opposite. I don't understand it. The interview before this one we were told that in 2012 every other basic series would be a Heritage one and that Legends would work it's way into the basic line. Now were told those are stopping even though Royal Rumble won't hit shelves until January.
Also the whole thing about us not getting an HBK Flashback because it's too close to RR Heritage put an awful taste in my mouth. I don't understand Mattel's logic sometimes. Everyone on this board is BEGGING Mattel for Flashback HBK's and Mattel is turning it down? Do they not see the $$$ signs? Also HBK is familar with current fans so there is NO WAY Flashback HBK figures won't sell. Not to mention he's retired. No excuse Mattel.

Great Muta with mist-spitting action.
Seriously, we need a Classics Great Muta.
