Hello I have just kind of getting back into wanted to read again but I haven't seen anything that looked that great lately. I've got the new reboot issues but wondering if anyone has any recommendations as far as GN's go?I have the following. The Killing Joke, Joker, The Joker Greatest stories ever told, The Dark Knight Returns, Hush Returns, and Batman Year One.
Thanks a bunch.

I just finished reading Hush, man what an amazing story. I really love reading about the romance/relationship between Batman and Catwoman and this story really focuses on that. I'd say Hush is my second favorite graphic novel right after The Long Halloween.

It's very Cat-centric.

How has no one recommended Death in the Family?

Probably because it's a pretty terrible story.

I don't think so at all. It sets up why Batman hates the Joker so much.

The book has historical significance, but it was absolute garbage. The story wasn't good. I'll give you that. The character who died comes back (avoiding spoilers here) which takes away from some of the significance. It still is something I'd recommend. It establishes why Batman hates the Joker so much as well as marks the point where Batman becomes darker and more grim.

Yeah, but the tale has been rehashed so many times in flashbacks that reading the actual bile that they put out has become non-required, to the good fortune of anyone who might actually consider spending valuable money on it.

By that logic it's not worth reading a Killing Joke either. That is a tale that has been rehashed multiple times in many different titles. I would still highly recommend it though.

I kind of liked the Joker as an Arab terrorist myself.

I always recommend this one, by far the most violent, gorgeously Gothic Batman comic I've ever read.
Tales Of The Multiverse: Batman - Vampire
That's what the collection is called, it's a trilogy of Elseworlds titles.

I'd also recommend: Bruce Wayne: Murderer? Bruce Wayne: Fugitive (Vol. 1, 2, and 3) And also "Heart of Hush"
I really want to get "Hush Returns" and "Batman Beyond: Hush Beyond" but someone on here told me Hush Beyond was a let down... Yet I'm still curious...
