I agree on Slaughter but I preferred 97 Hart Foundation Bulldog so L3 (which I actually picked up today) is great. L1 LOD should've been in black and red, Snuka should be barefoot and wearing trunks, Dusty should be NWA attire, etc. It does matter alot actually because I skipped out on a Slaughter because I would rather have black and Camo.

I think it is a big problem. Probably a major part of the reason the legends line flunked.

Ive bought all Legends but If I could change the attires, these are the ones I would have changed...
-Dusty Rhodes From Polka Dots to NWA Attire
-Rick Martel from Purple attire to short hair Pink attire
-All Stars Savage to Red attire Savage
-Jimmy Snuka from Pants to trunks and bare feet
-British Bulldog from '97 attire to a '92 attire
-Brian Pillman from "Loose Cannon" to either Flyin Bryan or Hollywood Blonds (If Blonds, id want an Austin as well)
-BamBam from WCW/ECW days to Mid/Late 80s WWF
-Rick Rude....Keep the short hair but would choose an attire thats not "specific" to a big match

I have Savage, Martel and Bam Bam and I liked all of their attires.

The biggest attire mistake they made was Snuka. Why oh why did they did they do that? ::smh::
That would be like making Sgt. Slaughter with no camo... nevermind.
Not gonna front though, I bought 'em all.

Yes it matters to me. That's why I passed on quite a few of the Legends. I would have bought them if they were in these attires...
Hawk & Animal - red/black Sgt Slaughter - camo Vader - vader time WWF Brian Pillman - Flyin Brian WCW British Bulldog - long tights w/braids Eddie Guerrero - I bought him but I would much prefer a WCW Eddie

The only reason I got Mr. Perfect was because he was in blue. Jakks never made him in it. That's his iconic color to me. Mostly from playing WCW Revenge on 64.

The blue on Mr. Perfect is iconic to me because of his SummerSlam 91 classic wit Bret Hart for the IC championship. As for Rude the short hair seems more WCW to me, I think they should've done the IC championship tights and permed hair.

Mattel's rule on most Legends: Make them in non-iconic attire that the wrestler used for a very short time or attire no one's ever seen before in an attempt to be different than Jakks.
That's why we got LOD in black. And Sgt. Slaughter wearing attire from who knows when. Jimmy Snuka in pants and boots. I JUST noticed that Ravishing Rick Rude is SHORT-haired? (Can't Mattel do ANYTHING right with their Legends?) Vader with a cape. Instead of his Vader Time attire. Bulldog's okay, but MUCH better to have his '92 attire. Macho Man L5 is okay, but it baffles me why Mattel continues to release the late 80's only Macho Man in most of it's Macho Man releases. Defining Moments/early 90's Savage type of attire in a Legends series release looks a lot better. Never seen Bam Bam look that way in WWF.
I could go on and on, but there are very few Legends where Mattel got it right.
Mattel also picks the most iconic names in WWE history. Looking forward to DDP, Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard, all who played a huge role in WWE from the late 80's to early 90's.

They do to me. But as long as theyre correct, Im fine. When I saw E10 Kane at comic con ( i think, it was somewhere where they show up coming figures) i was mad because it had White in his attire and it had the wwe spinner belt. I was like what the hell?!

I totally agree with you that attires matter.
I want a figure to have a memorable attire and to have it accurate.
Reading the comments it seems like most are upset with the classic figures attire however imo the proper attire/color choice needs to be made for all Mattel figures.

All I pretty much collect are Elites and I get them all so it doesn't bother me since I'll get it anyway. If I don't like it then so be it, if I do then its a win win. I don't think theres any Elite attire I haven't liked except the E10 Kane proto but that was changed before release.

I totally agree, if I don't like the attire; I don't buy it.

Well when I see a proto of a figure with an outfit I don't like I say "Naw I will pass on this on" but I usually cave in and buy it later on.

Everyone knows the drill with Legends and why it didn't take off, but I'm still baffled by their treatment of HBK and Bret Hart figures.
So many classic HBK outfits, and they seem hesitant to delve into them, especially in elite style. Four Bret Hart figures so far, and we still only have either street clothes or single-color ring gear? I'd like to see one with either black top/pink tights or pink top/black tights. That's a far more iconic look, IMO.
Also, I'd really like to see a more "every day" Ultimate Warrior. It seems like almost every one we've gotten - even in the Jakks days - has been specific to one single PPV match. Those weren't usually even his most colorful outfits.
