Ill make one comment about today. If Okada loses, hes not winning Block A like i thought he would. Then again, i thought Naito would beat Omega in block B, but that didnt happen. When it comes to NJPW, they do a pretty good job at when i think its gonna go one way, they go opposite. So i hardly bother predicting NJPW and just enjoying the product.

I love the unpredictable nature of any one can win at any time in NJPW, like how I never saw Juice winning the US title. It's something that is lacking in other companies that shall remain nameless.

This ing G1 has been so damn good. Jay White, Hangman, Omega, Sabre and Ibushi are all ing killing it. I’ve enjoyed This entire tournament so far. Everyone is giving it their all with the exception of ing Tama....he’s been the only let down of the tournament thus far without a doubt. Even Yano is having some god damn entertaining matches. And we’re still just getting started!

agreed all around. in particular the tama and yano parts. ive been pleasantly surprised with both of yanos matches so far. and ive been blatantly disappointed with tama. i can appreciate them trying something out of the ordinary with bullet club, when it seemed fairly obvious they were going in the direction of cody, scurll, hangman and the tongans vs kenny, bucks, ibushi, chase and yujiro... and tama, tanga and fale are imposing looking dudes... but tama falls flat in the ring. no connection at all.

great match from okada/hangman. hangman is winning me over. initially i felt like a lot of his moves were contrived, but hes athletic as hell. and that buckshot lariat makes more sense to me the more i see it, from a momentum standpoint. his shooting star off the apron still seems ridiculous to me though. but this was a great showing.

and im gonna add yoshi hashi on as a guy whos disappointing. his first match with makabe was surprisingly solid... but this last one vs suzuki was kinda rough. his offense is pretty shaky.

Naito vs. Ishii from Day 4 was good. Hirooki Goto vs. Omega was solid as well, Goto really stepped it up.

Goto vs Ishii was an incredible match. Im surprised Ishii won though. Would have thought Goto had the match won. I would have saved Tama vs Omega for Omegas 2nd to last G1 match with him vs Ibushi being his last. I was shocked to see Yano beat Ibushi, but he did find a balance between being fair and cheating. Sanada vs Sabre Jr was good. I'm glad SANADA won and that Sabre probably isnt gonna be 2nd place in Block B. Naito vs Robinson was good as well. Still pulling for Naito to win the whole thing, but with NJPW, you never know.

so ishii/goto just overtook ishii/naito as my favorite match so far. that was marvelous stuff. all of the matches at least told their story... tama/omega namely. sanada/zsj was a great mat and counter wrestling match. i dont care what anyone says... toru yano is entertaining the hell out of me in these matches. they are far from 5 star mat classics, but sometimes you just need a stupid entertaining match... and dammit, if he doesnt provide that. and naito/juice was great, naito attacking the hand for most of the match.

Hangman Page vs. Okada was good. Hangman hung in there with Okada and it'll be his best match in the tournament.

I gotta go back and watch the G1 matches. I fell asleep after the Naito tag match. For some reason i keep missing the Block A matches by falling asleep, then again my excuse this time was that i am sick as a dog.

Goto vs. Ishii was amazing. Always enjoy Ishii in the G1 since he turns it up. Juice vs. Naito was great as well, really impressed with Juice. What ever Omega vs. Tama Tonga was it was just awful, Tama needed a killer performance and he failed miserably.

I need to go watch Goto/Ishii since everyone is talking about that one. And Omega/Goto since Davey boy Meltzer gave it 5 stars. I'm sure it was great, but I heard people saying it wasn't quite 5 stars.
I watched A Block last night tho. Nothing really surprising.. I guess YOSHI winning, but he's going to get a couple along the way. Thought maybe Tanahashi could lose since they played up his poor record against first-time opponents. And Okada is back on track, at least for now. I'm still of the opinion that Omega should win it all.

omega/goto was good, but its 3rd or 4th of my favorite block matches so far. i think big dave just arbitrarily gives 5 stars to a match once he sees the name kenny omega. ishii/goto and ishii/naito were clear better matches for my money. and i love omega, so im not just knocking it down as a hater.

I believe it. Everything I saw said Omega/Naito was better than Omega/Goto, and he gave 5 stars to both of them. I did see Omega/Naito, and I'm ok with that having 5 stars.

sanada/ibushi, omega/juice and ishii/zsj were all very good. naito probably got tama to his best match of the block too. and goto/yano was obviously just to give goto a break for being the workhorse of the block thus far.

I’m ready for some B Block action tonight! Omega/SANADA, Naito/Goto, and Ishii/Ibushi should be great watches. Hopefully Juice can get on the board with the Yano-bye.
